quote: Clinton was a centrist, like Bush.
Wishy-washy. And yes, Clinton was more conservative.
The moral to the story: MODERATES are killing this country.
Moderate on all sorts of crap. Ugh.
I can't stand moderates.
So you'd rather have extremists in power? Because at least moderates can get things past, extremists are just partisans who bicker and spout off ideological rhetoric 24/7. I'd rather have a moderate who gets things done than an extremist who accomplishes absolutely nothing other than alienating people and passing absolutely insane laws.

In order for this poll to be considered "scientific" the poll must not contain loaded questions, which this poll does, sigh.

I have to agree that Bush could be considered a Democrat in Disguise. Government has grown more under him than any president in recent history, and he is about to sign into law the greatest gift to socialism in more than half a century. The thing is, he's better than the alternatives. Clark is a phony who has taken the art of talking out of both sides of the mouth to a whole new level, Kerry and Gephardt are socialist weasels, and Kucinich is just plain f%^&in' nuts. I like Dean because he is pro-self-defense, but he's way too socialist otherwise: I basically consider him to be roughly equivalent to Bush, but with no foreign policy experience and no plan for dealing with terrorism.
Unfortunately, one of the best Democrats - one who beats nearly any Republican - isn't running, and is actually leaving politics. Zell Miller. Part of his reason is not because, as AtomicSneeze believes, he is a Democrat In Name Only, but rather his party abandoned the traditional platform and values in favor of harcore socialism. It's too bad, too, because the Zell Miller was the last inkling of hope there was for the Democratic Party.

quote: why are we talking bout all this now? it's a year away!
Ah yes, heaven forbid that we think of anything as insignificant as the future leader of our country an entire year in advance! How ridiculous of us! On another note...How can people not get the name conservakid? Unless they think it's "conserve a kid" which wouldn't make much sense...

So, if Bush is a Democrat is disguise why do all the Republicans support him? I actually believe the opposite of what you think. In reality, many Democratic politicians have more conservative policies and could be "republicans in disguise." Clinton is a perfect example of a DINO (Democrat in Name Only... haha). Well, not completely. Clinton is definitely a more conservative Democrat, but he was just so freakin charismatic that it was easy to hide the fact that he was actually cutting social programs to balance the budget... plus people got really wrapped up in the Lewinsky scandal. Basically, you've got your theory backwards!!! Bush is a Republican and many Democrats have conservative tendencies. quote: Then again, you're all stupid anyway, so what's the use in trying to point all this out.
Hmm. Let's think about this one now... I think the tables have turned.

Yeah, does anyone not even care to notice that Bush is just a Democrat-in-disguise?
He's everything a liberal Democrat could want; even Clinton enforced U.N. wars, come on people.
The partial birth abortion ban and the tax cuts were the two conservative pieces of legislation that could be grouped with a real Republican.
Other than that, Bush is nothing more than a RINO - Republican In Name Only. I seriously don't understand why more liberals aren't backing him.
Then again, you're all stupid anyway, so what's the use in trying to point all this out. lol

People shouldn't have to pay anymore tax than necessary,
And Partial Birth abortion was literally murder.

Conservakid. Very clever. I like it. Just as you like peanuts. But that's beside the point. I am also going to be able to vote next year!!! And I think I may even be able to vote in the primaries which is really tight. Plus, they have those cool automated voting machines nowadays, though I may get nostalgic for the days when you went with your parents to vote and you got to use the punch card ballots. Oh the good ol' days of hanging chads... Unfortunately, I also agree about the obvious dilemma facing the Democratic party (and therefore ME!) right now. It's basically nine Democratic candidates vs. Bush. There are virtually no other Republican candidates out there right now... at least none stupid enough to waste their money running against him. And you're probably pretty happy about this Conservakid. I'd pretty happy right now if I were a conservative too. Basically, I think Kucinich has NO chance of winning, though people in my area sure are backing him. I'm gonna use my head when I vote and try to elect whoever the Democratic party endorses because I REALLY want Bush out of office. And at least I can do something about it when I turn 18! Turning eighteen will totally rock! Are you a Bush supporter? I'm curious about what you think he's done right and how he's going to avoid getting kicked out of office (aside from the total lack of organization of the liberals that is...) That's all for now... -AtomicSneeze

well i do. but that's neither here nor there.
It will be tough, actually VERY tough, for the democrats to unite behind a single candidate, escpecially when the "pack of nine" isn't dwindling down, much to the dismay of demo party leaders.
If the democratic party leaders were to put pressure on a candidate(s) to bow out, it would probably be either al "sharpy" sharpton, carol moseley braun, or dennis "the menace" kucinich. Due to sharpton's frequent use of the race card and braun's constant reminder of this being a "white man's government", terry mcauliffe and his cronies won't be to quick to put pressure on these two for fear of being labeled a race hater.
Dennis Kucinich, who believe it or not sponsored legislation to ban mind contolling devices in outer space, would hold an "injustice rally" (with sharpton in attendance, of course!) and make the demos look even worse.
The last thing the demos need, with an obvious lack of a clear message, are 9 candidates who waste all their contributions in the primaries and leave wounds on the other candidates that probably wouldn't heal before election day.
In Other News... I get to vote for the first time next year. Hip Hip Hooray!

Step One: Use remote to switch TV to on position. Step Two: Turn channel to any respected news channel (24 hours news channel such as CNN or C-SPAN for quickest results) Step Three: Wait for big words that say something to the effect of "Election 2004" or "Race for the White House 2004." Step Four: Listen. Allow information to seep into your brain. Step Five: Enjoy the feeling of not being ignorant.
(Note: Almost the exact same process works with radio, newspapers, and internet!)
