I don't get it. How is being a liberal like being a Nazi? I went to dictionary.com and I got the definition of liberalism and here it is: A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual and favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governed, and protection from arbitrary authority. How is that being a Nazi?
And about America being a modern day Rome, that can be true. But many nations want their own sovereignty and not having another nation encroaching on that right. Maybe that's why a lot of ppl don't like the US. Maybe they think that the US is out to conquer the world. They don't like Bush bcuz it seems like he's finally putting that fear into action.

Korith, I'm glad to see we have another intellectual on this site, I was getting a bit worried. And although we are somewhat like Rome (in that we are a Christian nation and we are very powerful), we will never reach our full potential because the liberals will never stop pulling us down. When we eliminate a global threat as Saddam, they protest in the streets. They burn flags, they attack our own president. The only reason anyone considers them American is because the live in this country. So until we brush off our liberal leeches, than we will never be able to have such an effect as Rome did. Instead, the liberals will most likely make us weaker and weaker until terror runs supreme, and when that happens, the few remaining conservatives will be blamed, and we'll have a true Nazi state (which is what they want). America should extend our reach to encompass more of the world, but alas, I doubt we ever will…
