How do you know us 'bad people' are going to hell? I think if there is your god (which I don't think their is, but think for a second) won't he judge us by how we lived our lives? Isn't that your just, merciful god? Or has he been percieved inncorrectly?

Anyway, I'm an athiest and I'm doing fine. In fact, I just enjoyed some delicious Twinkies for breakfast, so I'd say I'm better than fine. All I need is another cup of coffee and I'll be in heaven!

oh... guess we are really different (i mean im different)..can i just share something...im ot trying to change what you believe in (4 that is impossible..just sharing it) about what righteousrebel said..umm..im not really religious and i don't practice my faith that much but i believe in God... wat u said about the unrighteousness of d world..its kind of a problem isn't it? but if you see it this way... if we all tried our best to be nice and everything.. just never think about ourselves<whatever religion>.. and think about others, we would never have to worry about ourselves because the worlds got our backs... <i know it sound corny, but really try to imagine the world like that..it makes you feel a whole lot complete then doing watever sick thing that makes u happy(im not refering to ay1 here..)> and that's just wat i think heaven and hell is like... God just wants to seperate the good from the bad not because of punishing the bad ones, but because the so called "paradise" would be ruined if the bad ones <sorry for the term, i don't really mean BAD ones..just the term i used 4 those who is not going to be in heaven> will be in it because they might make the stay of the 'deserving ones' a bad one... so heaven is like a pain free place... and i think what hell means is simply being with those "bad people" forever...us ourselves.. and maybe not believing in him is going to be seperated unless they would believe in him.... you get my philosophy? anyway, this is just maybe... just sharing

it's a sensative topic because on the one hand, death is all what you perceive it to be. if you really do believe in heaven or some higher ground, then that's what satisfies you. but every atheist sees death differently. i believe that we are all part of one soul, a sort of reincarnation stance, but not in the way most people see it. i can't understand organized religion because most people live their lives by a set of rules that someone else came up with, not their own. but some people really do believe and know what makes them happy, i guess that's all that matters.

There was a time in my life when I went to church. And I used to be Muslim too. But now I dont have any religious beliefs, because life makes absolutely no sense. All these holy books teach righteousness, but in this world righteous people lose and evil people with no morals prosper. If there is supposedly a God, then why don't he protect people who are going through hard times. Why is life so hard and confusing? Nothing makes sense. As far as lookin forward to something after death, I don't know what happens after you die. And everybody's gonna die eventually and nobody can do anything about it, so my philosophy is whatever happens, happens.

i dunno if there is a God, i dunno wut happens when ppl die, and i could care less. i agree with soccerchick... audreee, u seem to be the only one worrying compared to the atheists that posted here. and... y would anyone feel empty if they dont believe in a God?? i feel perdy damn full right now because i kno that my life is great as it is!! it could be worse but it isnt!! i'm juss tryin to get by appreciating every aspect i have now and not worrying bout what i will have or not have when i die.

Oh Well". Nope, the only time i feel empty is when i'm hungry....since i dont know what's going to happen then, and i believe it's irrelavent to now, i would probably think "ah, d4mmit, the christians were right".

How I'm feeling right now? well, i'm feeling kind of icky cause I got sunburned today.
BUT. I think that we will know what happens after death, WHEN we die, it's not important.
I mean, I'm not dead, so it really doesnt concern me now
