It feels good to know that I am free to not believe in God if that is what I choose and to know that just because religious groups say there is a God, that I don't need faith in life after death to be happy. I realize religion is a good and necessary thing most of the time, but how realistic is it that there is a being up above in the castles in the sky. The creator of all. Is life supposed to be a test. Well then **** it!!

Well, really guys, I think audreee meant with this thread is how does it feel to think there's nothing after death. I've wondered it too. I can't imagine my life without my religion that's very near and dear to my heart, and I believe in it with all my heart, so I don't think I'll ever believe that I simply will...die. So how does it feel to believe that after death, we're...nothingness?
Just because nobody understands you, that doesn't mean you're artistic.
How does it feel to believe in God? How do you describe not believing in God? I don't know it just feels right to me. It's my believe. It's the way I feel and have every right to feel. You believe in God, that's your buisness, that's your belief and I respect that. I don't believe in God, that's my belief and I think it should be respected.

im an athiest and I find any insults to my beliefs to be highly offensive. If catholics/muslims etc want respect shown to their religions then they should also respect the beliefs of athiests. I can put forward a highly moral and objective statement but what it really comes down to is fundamental logic. the only scrap of evidence relating to the existence of a higher being is...oh no there is no evidence, just 'faith'. Which is by no means scientifically proven, and despite catholocisms embracement of technology, especially in the field of astronomy they fail to argue their own case in a scientific, objective way, probably because they can't.
Being an athiest I do not feel lost, my life has intense meaning of self fulfilment and the bettering of society for future generations.

Atheists are just LOST people who are just trying to find their way in circles.... I pity them but then again, I would also pray for them so that they may go into God's path
They are not lost. Atheists are just hardcore realists.

Don't worry. I don't think you guys are going to Hell, and I'm a Christian. And other Christians, even if you believe it, it's rude. Keep that to yourself. I know how you guys feel though. A lot of denominations of Christian don't see Mormons as Christians, so they say we're going to Hell too.
Just because nobody understands you, that doesn't mean you're artistic.
Excuse me, rock? Do you mean we are going to hell or that it is more accurate that they think that those people will go to hell? This isn't a sarcastic degrading question either, I promise.

okay ... your right i did over react (well maybe a little more than over react but lets not focus on the negitive) i do believe in a higher power and i agree that we all pretty much beileve in the same god. I just do not(repeat : Do Not) appericate it when i see posts like this. "How are you feeling?" give me a break. religous freedom means religuos freedom. that does not mean somebody gets to judge, surpress, or try and convert me for believing or not believing in a god.
That might not make any sense but right now I'm too tired to explain it to you or to care .......
wow, banshee, how about we think about your trap? it does no good to fill the board with bad language and hatred.
honestly, I do believe Christians who say "you're going to hell" will have some 'makeup work' to do once they die. It's not right to try to scare people into conforming to Christian beliefs. But the same can be said for almost any mainstream religion. It runs the gamut, from telling people they're going to hell, to flying planes into skyscrapers. We should take up faith rather than religion. Believe it or not, everyone in this world worships the same god.
except maybe satanists, i'm not too sure about them.
When it comes down to the bottom line, I think of what my father taught me: "God made a temple of our flesh. Who needs church when we are all temples of God?"
my two cents

this is insulting... good for you i'm glad you content in your belief.. but where the hell do you get off bashing me for my belief. I don't need to beileve in a higher power to sleep at night... I don't need the reassurance of an afterlife. I'm having fun now I'm enjoying life not waiting for death.... so how are you feeling ? Isn't there something in the bible about judge not others? but i guess that only applies to people belonging to your faith.... think aboyut that before you shoot off your trap again

I know what you mean, star. It is like I know there is a higher power, but I can't identify what. I've never found evidence of anything special. Do you know where I'm coming from?
Well said . But i still dont even believe in a higher power.
