If you had one chance to be face to face with the President, what would you tell him?

Patriot Act= Expanded powers to police, FBI, etc. for domestic surveillance. Allows access to library and medical records, wiretaps, emails spying, etc without a warrant if the person is suspected of being a terrorist. Also, the law enforcement officials are not required to let them know they're being spied on. Do you understand it now?

did everyone here ride the short bus to school? once again, i said indirectly supported bin laden, not indirectly supported terrorists.. geez! saddam directly gave support to terrorists!!! several groups of terrorists... one of the terrorists groups that he directly supported had connections to binladen but was not the group that was involved with 9/11.. are you following me?? and comrade.. wrong again.. the U.S. was not in violation of any UN policy.. due to the fact that the sanctions against iraq called for military force if they (iraq) broke them... also many of the countries in the UN supported the attack in iraq, but the ones with veto powers did not.. therefore they vetoed it.. here is a test.. i think comrade might know this, so he is not included in this test... all of you that keep mentioning the patriot act.. please explain what it is WITHOUT looking it up..

I agree with Socretes! I think Bush is sending our troops in on a matter of his personal pride. We have anywhere from 1-3 soilders dying each day. We went their to find weapons of mass distruction and they are not there.

Every country supports terrorism indirectly, so unless there's a direct connection you have no more excuse to support invading Iraq than you have to support invading Australia.

Haha, you think we're playing catch up now?
Well, first of all, that argument made no sense, but the U.S. was violating the U.N.'s policy of not irrational invading other countries without proper reason.
You know, the whole theory about not shooting everyone.

at least your consistantly wrong... i said indirect support of bin laden.. saddam actually supported(gave aid) to these terrorist groups in his country.. that is a far cry from simply having some secret groups floating around a country.. he also, as i said, supported the terrorist in israel...
as far as the UN.. i will give you time to play catch up... the U.S. was not in direct violation of the UN.. the UN was against us invading. hence no UN coalition.. iraq on the other hand was in direct violation of UN sanctions.. and guess who said that??? the UN!!!

Well, there may be some faint silvery linings of correctness around there, but the creamy middle is false.
Okay, maybe Iraq did have indirect ties to terrorism, Saddam is a crazy *******. So? So? So? So? LOTS of countries have indirect ties to terrorism! Most countries in the middle east have connections with terrorism! the U.K. has some! By YOUR OWN LOGIC, we should be invading ourselves immediately. I demand ground and air strikes by the 6th of November.
And, uh..."direct violation of the U.N."
There's only one entity that can use that reasoning. And guess who that might be? YEAH, ITS THE U.N. Guess who is also in direct violation of the U.N.? The United States, for invading Iraq. So, yet again, simply using your logic, the United States must be promptly invaded by United States milatary forces. Oh, yeah, we're also in violation of the United Nations by not having democratic elections, but don't tell anyone that.

bet... you got it! heck clinton admitted in an interview on TV, that they knew terrorists were planning an attack on one of a few select buildings with the world trade center being the most probable... they just had no direct fact as to when or how... those were his own words.. i will see if i can get the transcripts for you.. also it is also a fact that more money was spent investigating microsoft and attempting to bring them to court, than he did to catch bin laden.. i will dig up these numbers for you as well.. give me a couple of days to try and get exact figures...
as far as iraq... everytime i talk to an anti iraq war person they always say, there is no connection bla bla bla..
well sorry but that is false also... what people seem to comfuse is "support" and "DIRECT connection"...it is a fact that terrorist groups with connections to bin laden, were both supported and harbored in iraq by saddam... that is a fact.. but they were not the actual group that performed the attacks on 9/11.. i think that is where people get confused..not only did iraq support these groups but they also supported terrorists in israel.. another fact.. so it seems the only BS around here is yours...
also iraq was in direct violation of the UN for a decade, with use of military force as a possible punishment for these acts.. i know the U.S. has never had a stable history when dealing with horrible dictators, but it is nice to see for once that they actually got rid of one...and to me, that can only be a good thing.

quote: most of the people giving reasons on why they don't like Bush have no clue...
Same holds for most of the Bush supporters, so this means nothing regarding the debate. quote: and socrates, give it up.. you are really reaching.. clinton DID NOTHING to even try and stop bin laden.. clinton had prior warnings of the first trade center attack.. clinton vowed several times that he would get him yet NEVER did a thing... clinton spent more money going after microsoft than he did bin laden.. bush actually stepped up to the plate, where clinton was to scared to go... all facts..
All facts? Bold assertion. Let's make a bet: If you can show me a source independent ofthe Heritage Foundation stating all these facts, I will start campaigning for Bush within 24 hours. quote: as far as the war, what did you want bush to do? wait around until they did something else?? good plan.. the terrorist hate everything U.S.! they would have done other things... if most people had a clue to the terrorist threats that are stopped, that no one hears about, they would all be terrified!! if you don't like bush.. fine.. but don't make up BS theories...
Which war is this? Most Bush opponents (includign me) supported the Afghan war, so I'll assume you mean Iraq. Iraq didn't attack the US. Nor did it sponsor the terrorists who did. Get it through your ****ing head. From now on, every time someone claims Iraq had something to do with the terrorist attacks, I'm going to create my own conspiracy theory connecting G.W. Bush to an atrocity of my choice. And I'll still include more evidence for my made up theories than you will for your BS theories.
