ok, i respect anyone's opinion on who they like for president, but you at least should have a clue to what your talking about... most of the people giving reasons on why they don't like Bush have no clue...
Umm 9/11 was being planned DURING the CLINTON administration.. so tell me again how it wouldn't have happened if gore was in office? sure it wouldn't have... give me a break!
and socrates, give it up.. you are really reaching.. clinton DID NOTHING to even try and stop bin laden.. clinton had prior warnings of the first trade center attack.. clinton vowed several times that he would get him yet NEVER did a thing... clinton spent more money going after microsoft than he did bin laden.. bush actually stepped up to the plate, where clinton was to scared to go... all facts..
gore is a wuss, and he would have done just what clinton did.... nothing!
as far as the war, what did you want bush to do? wait around until they did something else?? good plan.. the terrorist hate everything U.S.! they would have done other things... if most people had a clue to the terrorist threats that are stopped, that no one hears about, they would all be terrified!! if you don't like bush.. fine.. but don't make up BS theories...

Alright... in 2000 when Bush was elected, I wanted the other republican soo bad. When he dropped out, i was all 4 bush. And now I'm not so sure. Just lemme say that so far, we've found no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But... consider the circumstances, (remember 9/11, i know i could not have handled that and supported other peeps.) he's done really well. No, i don't support the war. War sux. But Bush knew some people would'nt accept his decision, and to ba able to go 4 it was brave. i'm glad we do not have a coward 4 a president. GO BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the only problem with that argument is that Bill Clinton wanted to stop Al-Qaeda for his reputation. Most of you may be either too young or to uninformed about the news to remember this, but Osama bin Laden has been the world's most-wanted man since the embassy bombings in 1998. It was Clinton who had the gov't set a $25 million reward for his capture or killing. Bush only added a flock of sheep to the deal, and failed to catch OBL. And didn't pay attention when the Clinton administration told him on Jan 20, 2001 that Al-Qaeda was the biggest threat to our national security.

Oh my God, ComeradSmurf! What are you thinking???? I agree with conserveakid. Bush does a pretty good job, considering the circumstances. I mean, Sept. 11 wouldn't have happened if Clinton hadn't been a baby and dealt with all this stuff before! He totally chickened out for his poor LITTLE reputation, which he lost anyway. GO BUSH! YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!!! Evy

Uh, no natty, look up the vote count. It's undeniable that Gore got more votes. Bush won the electionc because he got more votes in Florida, thus more ELECTORAL votes, and those are what determines the Presidency. Bush was our fifth President to lose the popular vote and win the electoral, so even if his term went great it's probable tha, like the other four, he would be a one-termer.

I could tell this would be a hard term for anyone in office. Bush entered at the begining of a receding economy that was already getting worse before he was sworn into office. Bush was elected by a majority no matter how much people wanted Gore into office he got less votes so thats how it goes.

Ooh, another Dean supporter! Count me in! He rocks! Any way, I'd tell him he's an idiot and that I thought this was a democracy, so could he please explain how he was elected? I can't figure it out.
PS If any of you can explain it, I am interested.

I'd be much calmer than most of you who don't like Bush. Why waste my energy on anger when I have work to do? I'd just show off my wonderful Dean button, and tell him to enjoy his remaining 15 months in office. Then I'd leave quietly, and continue my argument with my roommate about why Kucinich is a dumb@$$ choice for the nomination.

quote: I would start punching him, yelling "You damn *******, why don't you see that what you are doing, you are killing us, and the others around, You stupid dense president, why do expect to have a peaceful world when you are battling with others, there is no just peace in you." Only to be shot moments later by his bodygaurds
lol...I guess you shouldn't be planning a visit to the White House anytime soon eh?

WHY? WHY? Because Bush took several intelligence agents in posts that could have stopped 9-11 from occuring! Because Gore might have listened to countries like ISRAEL, EGPYT, and France who CONSTANTLY WARNED US ABOUT A POTENTIAL TERRRORIST ATTACK. Who knows what Gore would have done if the attacks did take place, but atleast it wouldn't be as horrid as this ***** of Babylon. quote: All I know is that I like him and he is great. Keep it up Mr. President!
Correct, that is all you know, which means you don't know why you like him or anything about him or the world in general. But I'm sure your Nelly trivia info is pretty up to date. Ah, Nelly's career...constantly making "Hey, Must be the Money" look awesome. My solution? Perhaps not attacking every country with oil reserves and medium to weak connection to the vague general concept of terrorism? HMMMMM!

Uh..why does it matter who was president on September 11? It was being plotted for years and would've happened regardless of who was president. And don't say "well Bush could've stopped it" because presidents before him could've stopped it by stopping the plans.
No matter what Bush did, half of the country would be upset. What was he supposed to do, wait for them to attack again and then start a war?

I would commend him on a job well done. I would tell him that I know it can't be easy doing what he is doing. He came into office with barely anytime to think and then this happened. I think that he is handling it the best way he knows how. He is doing the best he can. I think that the little the American people can do is shut up with all this complaining and just watch and see how it all turns out. They can't change what has already happened but they can show support to out president so he can make his decisions. Who knows, maybe he will do something that everyone likes. All I know is that I like him and he is great. Keep it up Mr. President! Keep it up Mr. President!

I think that September 11 would've happened regardless of who was president. The terrorists had a grudge against America, not just Bush. So even if Gore was in power, the attacks still would've happened. But what we have to look at is how their reactions would be. Would Gore do the same thing as Bush or would he look for a more subtle approach to the situation?

Yeah, I can imagine Gore as Commander in Chief...
September 11th didn't happen and we aren't running around like idiot fat children in a mad, theocratic power struggle.
Yeah, that is truly horrifying.
Yeah, I'm sure you're just as right or more correct than I am, its just my dern reasoning skills and grasp of the english language that makes it look like I may have some higher perspecitive. But I'm sure if you had those.......things, you'd be a rip-roarin' it up with the madd phat sociopolitical beats. Sound of the funky drummer!
But what would I say?
"Duuuuude....can I buy some cocaine from you? What's that? You traded it in for Jesus? Well...can I get a ride in the batmobile from you?"
