Yeah, people also WASTE billions on sports too. I'm sure you'd rather spend money on sport media than on something that you would NEED.

Madpuffin, great idea. I will ask my boss about that tomorrow. I mean, if they can't put on their helmets, knee and elbow pads, then they can't skate, and my boss'll lose money, and we'll lose our jobs. And that also means I won't have to get off my *** at work.

You should offer to give the kiddies lessons in putting on their helmets and knee and elbow pads. The City Board of Health would thank you. (plus it'd be easier and less potentially-painful)

I work at a skatepark and I don't know how to skateboard, which is the way that most people get jobs there, so they can give lessons. I only got a job because I know the owner. But he now decided that I'm useless unless I can give lessons, so I'm learning to skate.

For what job do you need to know how to skateboard?

I'm learning how to skateboard, but that's just so I don't get fired. My boss said I'm useless unless I know how to skate, and no one else will hire me, so I'm being forced to learn.
But I hate sports. With a passion. I think it's one of the few things left to be passionate about.

I agree that atheletes are very much overpaid but I still love sports. Sports are about striving to be the best and improving yourself. Also many athletes are very active in charities. But if you complain about atheltes making too much money for no reason then what about music stars or movie stars?

I quit gymnastics because my coach was a pervert.. that and he grew to despise me for my harsh comments and insults to the point where he had to go outside for "breathers." Oh, wait. That was the fun part. My mistake.

I thought I could be a gymnast when I was about 6 or so. As the tallest girl in the class, they started me on the highest beam, and kept moving me down in heights, so I would have less of a distance to fall. Then I walked on a piece of tape on the floor. The teacher actually told me that I should think about doing something else, like "swimming, or softball". I never went back to gymnastics.
Then I tried to be a cheerleader for about a week last year. We'll not talk about it though. (And it was even one of the cool ones, where everyone did back flips and stuff, and I stood around, because I can't do backflips.) But I personally don't consider cheerleading a sport.
Lacrosse was good. I was good at that.
But other than lacrosse, I don't like sports.

Yeeeeah...Ask those athletes complaining about not getting enough money if they play for fun. It's kinda sad. People used to fight hard just to be able to play, now athletes will refuse just because they don't have 20 cars! It's just a shame to see how selfish people can be when people would die to be where they are.

How are they pointless? To me sports aren't pointless! They keep kids busy after school & out of trouble. That's not pointless! Or is it. People who plays sports have to have any education! You need an education for about mostly everything. I don't think sports are pointless because you works as a team, & you have good people & social skills. I can go on but... heh. I probably don't think sports are pointless probably because I play sports. But there not pointless, sports have helped me a lot. -JM
