I'm sure this has probably been brought up before~ But, i just wanna know everyone's views about God? Like, what comes to your mind when God is brought up in a conversation? Do you believe in Him, and what do you see Him as?

there's actually a story about something like ICELAND's theory in a comic called the authority. God creates earth, leaves for millions of years to let it incubate, and comes back later to see this parasites on it, and decides to destroy them.

when i think of God, i think of how He's helped me go thru a lot of crap and come out victorious. i think of how foriving, just, loving, and caring He is, how He gives me comfort and peace like i havent been able to get from anyone or anywhere else. i think of how Hes provided everything ive needed, and also what my life would be like if i didnt have Him there for me. i also think of how hard it is to be a Christian sometimes, with things like temptation, but how in the end i noe its all worth it, cuz He rewards the faithful, in this life and all thru the next. (i hope youve figured out that im Christian by now.)
that is only the beginning of what i think about when you say "God".

oh jeez, I'm going to have to spend the next 20 minutes of my life getting these people off my doorstep.
My view is God does not and would not reveal to anyuone the answers of existance or of creation. The answers would be to understand all that is around you, and not what was.

In my opinion, it is more likely that God is a being (or many) that lived on a distant world long ago, and became so advanced, so that he was god-like to us.
The bible could be symbolic. Maybe god did put life on earth. But seven days could mean millions of years. Maybe he just caused life to stir and evolve on our world.

I don't think anyone views god. That's why so many people don't believe in em.

In my eyes, God is kind, loving, and above all, forgiving.

quote: My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind. That deep emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God. -Einstien

Loving. Big smile. Always with His arms wide open to catch us when we fall and comfort us when we're hurting.
SO WHERE IS GOD WHEN ALL THOSE TERRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN?!
Right where He's always been. Waiting for you. The world belongs to the Devil, but God never abandons his children. Allow him to help you. Just call out his name... it works. He's always smiling. Remember?

im Catholic too, and i dont just believe because its what i want to hear(about Heaven and everything) or because its what i was raised with, or because it logically makes sense (although all of those things are true), i believe because i BELIEVE. you know you can say all this stuff about how religion isnt right for everyone and thers no way to prove that God exists, but what you believe isnt based on proof, its what you feel in your heart. of course, human emotion is fallable, but God is something deeper- its not just with an emotion that you believe, but with something else- its hard to put into words, but its kind of like how you personally feel about chocolate- some know that they love it, others that they hate it, a few who haven't tried it. im Catholic and it works for me, and i truly believe in everything the Church teaches, but if organized religion isnt right for you, i would say that you should try to find a different kind of chocolate- dont blame your feelings on just one taste. (personally, im a chocoholic- literally and figuratively! )
