Do you think your parents are "pretty good" parents? What would you change about them? Would you ever be like them when you have kids of their own? Or do you constantly vow to never follow in their footsteps? Do you share your life with your parents or do they not know who you are going out with, what you got on your last big exam, or who your friends are?

well i dont have parents i have a mom and she has been the best mother/father i could ever ask for. when people ask me who my best friend is i tell them my mom is. i can talk to her about everything and she will understand. i think she understands so much because i am just like her, i look like her and when she was my age she acted and thought like i do, she still thinks the same way i do. or vis-versa. my mom knows everything about me, ya its kinda scary but at least she knows....she knows because i tell her or sometimes because she just kinda figured it out by my reactions. any ways my mom is the best mom i could ever ask her and i wouldnt replace her for any thing in the world. there really isnt anything i would change accept her smoking. and as far as when i have kids will i follow her steps....most likely she did i really good job at raising me for 17 years so i figure if i follow her steps i will hopefully just as good!!

My parents: I love & respect 'em. We have a very good relationship and I can talk to them about anything, pretty much.

My friends think my dad is the best dad in the world because for my birthday he got tickets to see Kings of Leon live for me, my 2 sisters and 3 friends. By the end of the gig they were asking if he could adopt them. I have fairly young parents, my dad was 23 and my mum was 26 when they had me (& my 2 sisters - triplets) and they're pretty cool. They watch the same tv shows as we do, listen to the same bands and they let us have as many parties as we like, as long as we agree not to have alcohol. They have pretty high expectations of us, academically, and they expect us to pull our weight around the house, but apart from that they're easy-going & they've always been supportive. We're a very close family.

My Dad is a pretty good Dad, he has a lot on his plate. He tries his best. He quit smoking (yippeee) and he's going to try to lose weight because of his diabetes. My Dad, doesn't care about my grades. He doesn't worry about it, he knows I try my hardest. He doesn't know my friends, he doesn't know who I'm going out with, he doesn't know about my past. He was traveling a lot for work when my mother was still alive. He's working on the things he needs too. That's all I can ask of him.

I love my parents. I wouldn't change much. I do wish I was a little closer to my mom in my earlier life. Now, My mom knows who I like, or who i'm going out with. She knows the names of most of my friends, but have only met a few of them, my grades she doesn't worry about knowing b/c she knows I am a good student. My step-dad is a great guy. I can tell him anything and everything w/ or w/o my mom knowing. My real dad, the only thing I would change about him are his bad habits(drinking, smoking, cussing), but other than that, he is a great dad, and I love them all! I wouldn't mind if I was like my parents, they care about me enough to tell me no, you can't do this b/c i don't think it's safe, or ask where i am going, or tell me the bad things about smoking/drinking/drugs/premarital sex/cussing, etc.
