There's a difference between buring a fake bush doll and the US flag, one's funny and the other insults everyone who fought and died for that nation and every citizen that flag represents, not just the government.

You know what the great thing about America is? Those "sick flag waving freaks" have just as much right to be here as you do. These christian conservatives who rant about how America is the greatest thing that Our Lord Jesus Christ ever created, and the borderline-Christian mindless flag-waving, Bush supporters are definatly on the edge of idolatry, they basically worship this midly uninteresting pattern on cloth. While at the time of its conception, the flag had some meaning behind it, now its being slowly taken over by the sick freaks how want to wave it next to their crucifixes. So until we can see the generation that won't have more than about a hundred of these people in the country, the flag will usually be a symbol of evil.

I am one of those weird people that doesn't fit into a category. I don't always wear 'hippie clothes'. I'll wear the long flowy skirts but with a fitted t-shirt or something. Without a doubt I will always have on Birks or some other type of flipflop, even in the middle of winter. I listen to the Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Phish, Ben Harper, and Panic. I am going to Bonaroo. So, yeah I simpathize with the 'hippie far left view.' But I'm also a patriot, and I love my country, and I actually like the government we have now. Some of my friends really don't agree with that at all. But I do not think that flag burning should be made illegal. I believe everyone has the right to speak their mind and they should do so, even if that includes speaking against our government or showing the flag no respect. That's one reason it's great to be an American.
If the flag has holes in it i think it is ok to burn it but i think u should like give it to like a fire department to burn. i would not want to get into truble. u kno just in case. Always, Danielle
