Yesterday New York city councilman James E. Davis was shot and killed by his political rival during a city council meeting in City Hall.

It’s ironic because Councilman Davis was totally against violence. He led and sponsored the youth group Love Yourself: Stop the Violence in his Brooklyn neighborhood. He was also working on a campaign to prevent violence in the workplace.

The crazy thing about it was that the shooter walked into the building with councilman Davis (they knew other or something) so that’s why he was able to ditch security.
