So neo-liberal means Libertarian? First I've heard of that ...
Socrates, you're wrong. And right.
True, Congress does come up with spending bills, but it's Bush's signature that validates it, so don't pull a cop-out and say education spending was all Congress' fault.
If it weren't for a liberal Congress and a liberal president, those things wouldn't have happened.
And Bush is for gun control, he said so during his campaign. He might have signed the concealed carry gun law in my state, but had he not, he wouldn't have been very popular.
Bush also favors free trade - to a point. Free trade if it benefits HIS interests, not those of all people.
Still a liberal.

quote: If you want to label Bush a conservative, do it with the word "neo-" in front of it.
I find that terrible ironic coming from someone who is a "Neo-Liberal" = Libertarian

So Bush acts like a moderate to win swing states in the next election. He doesn't have control over the budget, so the thing about education spending means nothing. That's Congress. And 3 minor things wouldn't make him a liberal. I support globalization and oppose abortion and gun control, but I'm not conservative.

Let's get one thing straight. There is a Texas conservative (like me). And then there is a Bush conservative, which is like a liberal, but pro-war. Increasing Texas' budget 16 percent is not conservative. Being against abortion is conservative, but increasing farm subsidies, tacking on tariffs to steel imports, and jacking up federal education spending is not being conservative. If you want to label Bush a conservative, do it with the word "neo-" in front of it.

The vegan thing wasn't just an example; you said quote: Afterall, most liberals are vegans. Actually, all
Might've been an example of liberal evilness, but in that case it was a false generalization. You missed the liberals being accused of treason? You must not watch Fox News as much as I do. The reporters on the mainstream tv don't directly say it; they have guests in to say it for them while shutting out liberals to refute these claims. Your example is one liberal activist filing a lawsuit. What about the hordes of Fox News execs who sued Al Franken because "Fair and Balanced" was a phrase they thought they owned?

First off, the Vegan thing was only an example. Secondly, I guess I missed that newscast where liberals are charged with treason. Here, let me give you another example of liberal bull$hit. In Millbrae, a married couple put yellow ribbons throughout their neighborhood to symbolize the soliders over seas, namely their two sons. A liberal activist from PALO ALTO was driving through this town when he saw the ribbons. He protested that they represent evil. He brought up a law suit against both the city and family.

Congrats on indirectly addressing one of my 3 points and saying nothing about the others. I'm not trying to outsmart you; in fact there were many good refutations you could've used against some of what I said that would've actually required me to think in order to keep arguing (vs. my current strategy of using stock arguments that wouldn't be effective if there was any rationality involved in these debates).

Socrates, way to try to out smart me you college know it all. But, let me revise my views. I don't hate liberals I hate their views. But I'll make an exception for you. I hate a couple liberals(you and probably five others on this site) I agree with Joey though

Well, aside from your incredibly laughable attempt to label Bush liberal, you might have had a point.
But I was too busy simply stunned by your 1950s-informational-poster-style anti-communist paranoia to pay any attention. The picture of the little boy in a red and white striped shirt and his dog saluting a flag is so vivid.

Mr. Blue, you say our country is more than half liberal. That means liberals ARE America. And since very few people hate themselves, this would mean most conservatives hate America, including President Bush.
Also, I think the crab, the turkey, and the cow that each died for a portion of my dinner would testify that not all liberals are vegans.
On the subject of activism, it was anti-war activists being accused of treason and communism on tv, not pro-war activists being accused of Nazism and treason. In the newspapers a few pro-war people were accused of Nazism, but newspapers have to pander to liberals because unlike the TV, their main audience can read.

Clinton: Sex.
Bush: Descending an entire country into chaos.

Will you people look at yourselves? Come on, this whole us-versus-them and liberal-versus-conservative debate is not warranted. With sooo many millions of people, you'd have to separate them into more than just three groups (liberal, moderate, conservative).
If you want to be technical, the Bush Administration's government has grown more than Clinton's, and that isn't conservative people, it's liberal.
Bush might have conservative views, like me, but his main agenda has been heavily liberal.
And comrade, your communist-leaning friends do hate one thing for sure: liberty.
Same goes for the moderate Bush backers (this coming from a Republican). If you truly had one thing that you absolutely hated, it would be that you cannot tolerate people doing what they want to do, which is the essence of true freedom.
So there you have it. Both sides cancel out, and what's left is libertarianism.

It's a fact most liberals hate Bush. Since our country is more than half liberal and Bush being a Republican, points to more people in America. BUSH IS A GREAT PRESIDENT. BETTER THEN BILL CLINTON WHO'D F*CK ANYTHING WITH A HEARTBEAT!

Comodore Smurf liberals are totally anti-war. Doesn't take an expert to figure that one out. And to show how big of *******es liberals are, flash over to the vegans and animal rights topic. Afterall, most liberals are vegans. Actually, all, but see what they're trying to do to the name of a neighborhood in SF.

What the hell are you talking about, conservakid, with your flashy, clever nickname, you rad dude slouched low in the seat of your japanese sports car sporting a cool sneer?
But seriously, WHAT?
First of all, I would say most of those "100 miles" to the right of center are pro-war. If they are center right they are almost guarenteed to be supporters of the Bush Regime, and support his wars.
How are left wing activists haters? They hate death? Or poverty? Or dead trees?
YEAH! THOSE HATEFUL *******S! HOW DARE THEY?!?!?!
