ok. i couldn't think of a subject. But, I would like to make a point. Being a "compassionate" conservative, i don't harass individuals who believe in jesus; even though i don't believe in him.
And coffeebean, your 100% right. Being a "christian minus the bible" is kind of like being a muslim and not believing in the koran, or being an american and not believing in the constitution. The two are one in the same.
However, in BillyBarrio's favor, not much in the bible has been proven to be accurate. I don't care about what matthew supposedly wrote to luke (or whoever) a thousand + years ago. I care about what has been proven. And the bible hasn't. Period.

Okay, so Billy you don't believe that Jesus performed miracles... is that what you mean? Do you think he is the Messiah? Just wondering.
P.S. - from a Christian standpoint (as well as having practiced the occult and "magic", before knowing God. I can assure you deppressedwavemaster that Jesus wasn't a witch. The miracles He performed had nothing to do with magic.

I don't have an answer for that, some will tell you he said it because he was crazy, others will say he never said it, and still some more will say he was so good others coined him the "son of God".

I simply think he was a guy who made sense to alot of people, people need to follow something, and the something of Jesus was something good in a society of unlawfulness. I think he was a scapegoat for the teachings of the Old Testament, people didn't want to believe their God was a tyrant and Jesus taught them he wasn't, leaders embraced this message as their own when they saw how their people reacted to it. This is where all the over glorification and fantasy come into play, they made a great story of one man's message and still managed to cloak it in a shroud of fear and deceit...in short a good way to control the masses. That is my thoughts on it...

I don't actually follow any religion. I was raised Catholic and I attend a Catholic school, but I never really related to what I was taught.
I'm not athiest. I believe that there is some sort of higher power, but I don't pretend to know what. My way of viewing religion is that there is no one true religion. Do you really think "God" cares if you are a muslim or a christian? I think as long as you follow a positive religion(or live a positive life for anyone who doesn't follow religion) and don't turn it into a dogma, you're doing the right thing.
I like to believe that we are reincarnated when we die. I don't know, maybe we aren't, but that's what I like to think.

I believe in a causal agent creating and controlling things in the universe; complex of emotional and intellectual attributes that determine a person's characteristic actions and reactions.

I am now Roman Catholic...though I do not want to be confirmed to it. I'm interested in Unitarian Universalism (is that the right word?) though there isn't much around here about it. (if anyone can answer questions, please noisemail me).

I would probably call myself a deist, seeing as I believe in some sort of "god." But I don't believe in divine intervention I don’t believe “god” gave us certain moral codes for us to live by, I just believe "god" started time and that’s it. But also my beliefs fall along the lines of a secular humanism as well.
