lol That was great. I sometimes feel sorry for Marine (not really, but it sounded good) because he simply attacks what he does not understand, but that's an age old situation. Oh, well.

Moving on to the actual topic, I think that it's crazy that people sue try to sue different fast food places because they have a lack of self-control, and then they get mad when their butt blimps up. That's not the industries fault that people remain ignorant as to how much fast food they should/want to consume.

I don't really know whether the book is true or not, all I know is that the day my mom read it was the day my life changed for the worse. Now I get a lecture everytime I reach for Wendy's...oh well. In any case, my mom works in a hospital and is friendly with a lot of doctors, and from what I understand the book did indeed have its facts straight (although I don't really know, as I haven't read it).

And Marine, I think I understand the obscure view you were coming from: the whole suing McDonald's fiasco. It pisses me off too. However, as has already been pointed out, nobody in the thread mentioned anything about politics, and so far as I can tell your definition of liberal is "someone I don't like". Not once in my statement did I talk about politics. Dont confuse it in there. You probably didnt read my post so you shouldnt even be replying. Maybe you should reconsider who is the "idiot."

Looks like Marine is at it again. I don't think his "apology" is going to stick very long. Once again. How do you know who is "Liberal" and not? Who cares who is what and what is whom.... besides you that is.

I am rarely home from work/ school/ church in time to make a decent meal and it's hard to make time to go to the store and get HEALTHY food. I am hoping that once I start to get some things straightened out in my life I'll be able to start taking better care of my body and working out more and watching what I eat, but for now I really have two choices:
fast food or become anorexic/ bulemic, so I just go with the fast food. I know it's REEEAALLY bad for me, but I'm hoping to make some changes in my health's favor soon!

Hmm. I have that book, but I haven't had the chance to start reading it yet. Personally though, I think that fast (fat) food is disgusting! I used to eat it when I was younger because sometimes it's just easiest, but once I decided to stop eating it when I did try it again I found it to be disgusting. Yuck. I think that parents need to monitor their children's eating habits and that parents should be gotten for child abuse if they let their kids become obese due to the foods that they eat. One of my friends has a sister that is 7 years old and she weighs in at 134 pounds. That's close to what I weighed at age 20 at 5' 10"!
