The Turks would like to do with the Kurds what they did to the armenians in 1915...GENOCIDE. there is every reason for them to do it.. they got away with it the first time, they have a history of aggressive behavior towards their nieghbors. there is the invasion of Cyprus, the illegal blockade on the Republic of Armenia... i wouldnt expect anything less of the Turkish government then complete genocide of the Kurds if they were given the chance

exactly but said countries need to stop slaughtering them and treating them as second class citizens

Why, I thought we didn't negotiate wih terrorists... they need to integrate into the respective countries they live in... instead of constantly bombing civilians to make a point.

I think that the Kurds should be given there own country, a fair share of oil, and US protection (if they want it).

this is not true, Turkey sees the Kurds in Turkey as Turks, just as they see every nationality living within the borders of the republic as Turks. They want integration, not to get rid of the kurds, theres over 10 million kurds in turkey and most of them are humble abiding citizens of the republic of turkey. turkey since its creation seeks only peaceful solutions to its problems, ever since the great ataturk proclaimed 'peace at home peace in the world'.

You sport the Turkish flag on your avatar, I find it interesting that I am siding with the vast Turkish majority, but you however call my argument immature.

Oh yeah I was just saying that the solution to the Kurdish problem is ethnic cleansing... They've proven over and over that they will use terrorist tactics to attempt to scare people into giving them what they want, which is an independant state of Kurdistan... well that would mean that Turkey, Iraq, and Iran would be giving up some territory, and none of them would ever do a silly thing like that.

you mean from kurdistan or from turkey and iraq? there was from turkey after the war which is why germany and holland have large turkish communities now, however the flow has pretty much stopped. We get a lot from iraq and kurdish regions though, not sure of the numbers.

the Kurdish problem is huge, since the 80s the socialist Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) has claimed the lives of thousands in Turkey, mainly from the fighting occuring in the south east of the country. After the capture of their leader things improved but following the invasion of Iraq a state of lawlessness set in in n.Iraq allowing the PKK free operation there where before they had been stopped by saddams regime. They claim south east Turkey mainly Diyabakir and Van, northern Iraq and parts of Iran...the problem is the biggest the area faces, and America constanlty shys away from the problem even though the PKK are on their terrorism list they will not combat the problem of the PKK, instead it is left to Turkey to stray into northern Iraq and for other nations such as Iran who recently attacked PKK camps in their own country. I wondered what peoples solutions to this problem could be.

There's a problem? beyond the everyone in the middle east hates them one? or is this the "if you guys give them some land to set up their own nation, you won't need to deal with them, but you refuse because you don't want a kurdish nation on your borders" problem?
