It's unlikely this change in policy will have any national relevance. Congress passed a law a few years ago stating that states don't have to recognize gay marriages performed in other states, or any benefits that such marriages entail. The law violates the Constitution (which says states do have to honor all contracts, etc made in other states), but under this Supreme Court that won't matter. And other than every homosexual couple moving to MA for 6 months to get married, there's no way this ruling would affect other states. Oh well. Congrats to the People's Republic of Massachusetts on doing something other states will do in another 85 years or so.

That's so awesome! It's high time someone did it. I mean, put away your bible, this is state, not church. You know, seperation of church and state!
