With Arafats death many terrorist attacks have occured, many are worried if this conflict will ever end, i am not sure what is going to happen, but i am sure it is going to get much worse than it was before.

the mid-east problems will get worse (unfortunatly) before they get better. Only if there was peace in our world...

i once heard in a speech someone say that "araft has signed peace treaties with one hand and checks to terrorists and suicide bombers with the other". this sums it up perfectly. he was a terrorist. the palestinian people need a leader who will be able to negotiate with isreali leaders so that they can come to a conclusion that will satisfy both parties.

i don't know if any of you have ever read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, but there is a scene where one of the characters beats his wife during the sacred "week of peace", during which all forms of violence are strictly forbidden. he is punished with fines and has to make special anscestral sacrafices to appease the gods he angered by breaking the sacred peace, but essentially he returns to life as usual. one of the elders of the village tells him that men who broke the week of peace used to be dragged through the village by their feet until they died, but "this practice was stopped because it [destroyed] the very peace it was meant to upheld". similarly, the isrealis and palestinians need to stop polluting their holy land with violence if they truly respect the land and their God.

Arafat was a terrorist - no one can deny that fact.

President Bush did not allow known terrorist to come to America, thus Arafat could never come to America.

With a new leader the Palestinians will be able to negotiate in America. A solution is in the horizon.

I feel for the palestinians but the Israelis will not be leaving anytime soon and they have better weapons (not all US supplyd) and every male and female of age serves 2-4 years in the IDF (Isreali Defense Force) so basicly a arab country in that almost everone has a gun but they (the isrealis) are trained to use them so the war in da holy land will last much longer belive me

I am a Palestinian. I have lived there before. I am telling you that the Isreali occupation will not end anytime soon. Not until the Palestinians get all of our homes and lands back.

You see, Arafat did some good things for the Palestinians, but he defin itely should've resigned a very long time ago. I hope that we get a better leader who is really going to take some action.

Before , with and after Arafat the occupation of the palestinian lands by Isreal will continue so no solution is,or will be in the horizon.

I,ve recently read an article about
the Israel's Fifth Column in Washington here in this link ,It's long but very important.

It is, for sure, nothing of the sort. Instead, it is a matter of life and death, involving the national security of the United States and its people, an entirely legitimate and necessary investigation into how a foreign country has manipulated us, covertly and overtly, on the policymaking level, all the while stealing us blind.
