Ok..first I have to ask..how many of you out there are into older guys? If you've read my profile,you already know I am. If you haven't..well I am. The guy I like and the guy that likes me is 18..the only problem is..I'm 14. Now it would be all good if he was 17,but no..I can't legally date him until I'm 16,and that's if I have parental consent. What I don't get is it all matters when your under 18,but as soon as you become 18 you can date whoever you want. Now he's willing to wait the extra year and a half for me,but most marriges are at least 3 years apart..or more. So why is it such a big deal anyways? I know there's such a thing as statatory rape,but why is it that parents can say it's rape if you're completely willing? Will someone please explain this to me?

It's good to know some people agree with me on how stupid these type of rules can be...I would never ask my dad if I could sleep with my boyfriend..he would flip out on me. Not to mention probably shoot the guy..but anyways, I'm just sort of wondering why they made these laws in the first place?

I know, it sucks. I hate those kind of stupid rules. They shouldn't exist. Parents are being stupid for wanting us to follow them.

I doubt it. It's part of human nature to have sexual needs. If that natural desire is unfulfilled, it's hard to be satisfied - a factor of being happy.

It's not illegal to date older guys. It's just illegal to have sex with them if you are a minor - that is unless you have parental consent. I can just picture it : "Dad, may I have permission to sleep with my older boyfriend?"

Hey he probably loves her alot if he is gonna wait that long. I don't think that there is anything wrong with that. My parents were 5 yrs apart. So what, big deal. Some people just think its wrong because its "illegal".
