Hey, anyone got any funny stories about foreign people? There's always something. Something they think is funny about America, things they are shocked at or misinterpret. Post em if you got em.

If your complaining about a lot of Mexicans in Minnesota live in California! Jeezus. EVERYTHING is in Spanish. I swear. Everyone speaks Spanish. At resteraunts you want to order something and you say it about 10 times and they just walk away. ARG! Why can't THEY learn some freaking English! Jeez. It's like living in Mexico, bad water included.

I take French because pretty much everyone I know takes Spanish. When you speak French, everything sounds elegant and proper, even if you are telling them to go away, or Im going to hit you. (Which happens to be my favorite phrase.) Va t'en! Ou Je te frappe!

I know exactly what you mean. A week or two ago I was at a McDonalds and all the employees were speaking spanish. And the guy taking our order just barely knew a little english, he didn't understand us and we had to repeat and point to what we wanted. And a bunch of kids on my bus speak spanish to eachother. It's interesting to hear, and they laugh so much, I wish I knew what they were saying. But really, why would they come up to Minnesota? That's a long ways to go, and doesn't have any Mexican influence or history...well NOW it does, but I'd never heard of Mexicans living here 10 years ago, and now there are a ton.

I live in Texas, and about half of the kids in our school speak Spanish, with only a little English. So you sit in the cafeteria, and they look at you, even point, and chat away in a language you can't understand. This does nothing for my paranoia. In fact, it's the main reason I'm taking Spanish...

K, the Mexicans thing is totally valid. There are too many flooding in, illegally, having large families and taking up even more taxes and money.

First off, I wasn't being racist I'm just pissed off at these illegal Mexicans.
I did not say sh!t about their customs.
I'm pissed that their cutting a line that shouldn't exist.
There are hundreds of immigrants trying to get citizenship while Mexicans and other illegals sneak into this country. It's like cutting in line.
Second off, we shouldn't let every single immigrant become a citizen. It's BS that america has such an open door policy. Sure that was great 30 years ago but now it's going over board. Plus, I think it's bs how other cultures want us to learn their cultures and language, i don't mean high school spanish, etc.
A while ago some asian lady yelled at my mom while my mom was attempting to buy something from her store. She yelled at my mom because my mom could not understand her language nor her accent.

Lol, I think Americans messing up and misunderstanding things about other cultures is hilarious too. And Americans do it a lot, we don't speak the native languages, we want everything done for us, we get fussy and can't handle living in anything other than the most spoiled conditions, we can't accept or realize someone might have a different viewpoint, yeah, we got our faults too. I said nothing about struggle, though.

This really isn't funny... but there is this really nice and cool cleaning lady that comes to my house ans he says "Mr. Rick *****" all the time... tells how scared she is of my Dad. Has to say his name and his last name. Scary. I have an Asian friend and she talks likes she's from Texas. It's funny. Well, she is from Texas, but still. I guess that's why she thinks my Kentucky accent is funny, heh.

kno wat i think is funny? new-yorkers trying to have a southern accent. i have a bunch of relatives in the south with really strong accents, so i kno wat it sounds like. 4 school a few weeks ago, we had 2 do this debate/simulation thing about right after the Civil war, an u would b on different sides, so this one guy, bc he was supposed 2 b from the south, tried an accent...it was hilarious.. it was SO hard not 2 laugh. he would start talking really fast if he was arguin w/ someone, and then he's just throw inthe occasional word w/ the accent...so funny
and this is the second year that, while i was trick-or treating, i came 2 a house with all these asian people who took pictures of me n my friends.
