According to North Korea, they have successfully tested a nuclear device. Liberals said they weren't a threat when Clinton tried to pay them off, they were a threat when we went into Iraq, but say they aren't one now. What do you think? Nuclear Test

damn straight rummy-head getting kicked is one of the best things that could happen for the military right now however it would be better if we can get a man who's smelt the smoke in to secdef's office or the oval office is possible (Bush don't count the only smoke he smelled during his Air Guard service was pot smoke) BTW phantom hit the MGSF chatroom ASAP!

EXACTLY! and Rumsfield running the military like a corporate business was not doing any good either. The military is not something that can go through automation, cuts, and layoffs. It is something that needs to be properly maintained.

Thats the thing that kills me... people bash Clinton all the time for drawing down our military. But if we had the military we did under Clinton we wouldn't be so stressed right now. They have continued to draw us down in the military under Bush, and we now are told every day that we HAVE to do more with less. We need the military we used to have in the cold war era if we are even going to think of having a GWOT.

but why just missiles? There are other means of delivering a nuke. or maybe they'll sell the nucleur warhead to Iran. However, invading is not an option, not with the size of the military and the mindset out government has now.

BS you seem to be missing the key point of US missle defense strategy we don't have one system designed to blow up missles we have several (hell three just for boost phase intercept) for missle to missle intercept we have the KEI (Kinetic Energy Interceptor) and GBI (Ground Based Interceptor) as well as the airborne laser weapons system, so if each of those systems only scores a kill oncw out of two enemy weapons targeted and the enemy doesn't really have a lot of weapons (a good estimate of NK's total nuclear arsenal being one warhead at the most) it's not going to be that hard to knock it out of the air (just have to loose two missles and laser beam at it and your guranteed a kill)

Ar eyou kidding me? I guess you think treaties work pretty good with mad men. These stupid treaties do nothing more than force us to the bargaining table everytime someone wants something because they say they will build more nukes.

Right, you just disappear so you don't need to admit you're wrong. Whatever works...

I will always admit when I am wrong. I am not too proud. Sorry, as I re-read the post I noticed that it was only amp and hydrock who claimed that we had a great missile defense system. My bad.

I'm an apathetic voter. I vote for what benefits me. Does that really surprise you? quote: So you have no respose to the proof that I provided you. I see now that you are also unwilling to say that you were wrong.
What proof? Didn't you read what I said? I freaking agree with you. Heck, you're one to talk about being unwilling to admit that you're wrong.

I think that may be one of the stupidest things you have ever said and that I have ever heard. So you have no respose to the proof that I provided you. I see now that you are also unwilling to say that you were wrong.

All five of them... quote: You will also be happy to know that your precious democrats wouldn't even pursue a missle defense system. First off, I'm not a Democrat. Stop treating me like one. Second, I have nothing against missile defense systems. I just don't North Korea is crazy enough to launch missiles at anyone because we'd be on their back in the blink of an eye. Invasion or nuke, I don't see the difference. Heck, an invasion would be better, if only for reducing the loss of life. Furthermore, North Korea may very well be a threat. I don't care. It's not my job to care. I'm only a voter. Does North Korea's possession of nuclear technology affect me? No. Therefore I leave it up to those who need to care, that is, the government.

North Korea needs to be torn down just like all other communist nations.
The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.
