The 1st Canadian Regement won a battle against the germans here, which opened the door to modern urban warfare and the introduction of "mouseholing"

(another simple one) This battle was one of the earliest in WW2 and pretty much the first US groud engagement in the pacific. The commanding officer is supposed to have radio off island with the message "send us more japs" a monument to this battle now stands testament to the maines who fought there.

The battle and the island are one and the same, name them

Well the answer has to be the Declaration of Independance, or if not that it was whatever the treaty that brought the revolution to a halt. Close enough?

No actually I put on senior airman next year. I wish I was a first shirt... but all my best influences in the AF have been shirts.
