If I make it any more specific, it would be too obvious. It was James Buchanan.

Well your clues were a little too broad then... Most were also opinion. Andrew Jackson did offer his services, hated SC for wanting to secede, may have been a great president (but that's speculation) and I don't know... The last one sounds like Lincoln, but he wasn't even born in 1812... I meant actually built the car, the first automotive concept, steam counts I suppose. Give me either steam or gas and I'll take it. EDIT: Yeah, you had the steam dude right, though the date was off. Don't worry about the gas concept.

Lol, it wasn't Andrew Jackson. And who invented the car is up for interpretation. The first gas car? The first steam automobile? The first tractor? Both da Vinci and Issac Newton had drawings of one. And in something like..1769 or 1768 Nic Cugnot had the first self-propelled "automobile" which was a military tractor. ANOTHER HINT: This US President's successor is considered one of the best US Presidents, and his predecessor is considered one of the worst.

Tarp was right, I can't believe you people! So easy! Andrew Jackson! Okay, so this may be a little tough. Who invented the very first car (or should I say tractor...)?

Well I dont think your criteria fit only one person... because I googled "Worst President Ever" just for fun and the first link up was "The Biography of George W. Bush" Not saying I agree or disagree... it was just humorus.

Frederick the Great. This US President -- - Volunteered to fight in the War of 1812. - Denied that states that the legal right to secede. - Considered one of the worst presidents ever. - Was probably gay. Name this man! (This is pretty easy.)

Some vietnemese generals from the north I think the one was named Giap. Here's mine: Crown Prince repeatedly insulted and beaten by his father (who objected to his playing the flute, among other things). The Prince plotted escape, the plot was discovered, and he was forced to witness the execution of his best friend and co-conspirator. In danger of his own life, the Prince gave in to his father (and presumably gave up the flute). After becoming king, he wrote a philosophical treatise titled Anti-Machiavel, although as it turned out, he might have been able to give Machiavelli lessons in Machialvellianism.
