Ok the idea to this is that I'll give a clue as to a specific event in history and you have to guess what it is. Google searches are discouraged. They can be about any portion of the world at any time... it's in the western history forum because I felt it needed some love. The person to get my guess correctly then gets to make their own clue etc... I'll start off with something reletively easy: "Does the name Custer mean anything to you" - Robin Williams.

I know that the current president of Pakistan became president through a coup d'etat, therefore, I'm going to take the risky guess and say: Musharraf. Now can I google and see?

US A carpet bombing of Dresdin and two kiloton blasts I think did the trick on earning the US that title.

Bingo. Extra credit if you can post the name of the Bonhomme Richard before she was under American ownership.

Jackson's Foot Cavalry. Here's a rather simple one: ____________ was the name of the frigate which Capt. John Paul Jones commanded at the battle off Flamborough Head during the Revolution.
