everyone always says that we should volunteer right. well everyone around me that has volunteer opportunities r 4 like 18 and up and stuff like that. it's like if u want ppl 2 volunteer so badly then y say that we need 2 be older then teen years.it is sooo stuipid. if anyone else has this problem let me know

Tell me about it they should have more teen volintery groups that are able to help our community and ect. if you go through a youth group (if thats wat ur into) they have alot of opportunities! and never think you cant start the flow, think out of the box hun! do something outrageous! jadey peace from australia ps when your from the other side of the globe i get frustrated cuz alot of things that people ask for voleenters are in the US!

where i am, you can go to the hospital at the age of 14 (i think that was it) and you can volunteer to help out. same with at vet hospital's. i think its called Volunteen.

And if you don't have a Key Club, maybe you have something like it. Or maybe you could help tutor your classmates in something they need help with.

actually alot of high schools have Key Club. they are a group that gets together and volunteers as a group or on your own. also on my school morning and afternoon messages they tell you were you can do some work at. just depends on your school.

As someone already said: try the local Library. They accept young volunteers as long as they know they're responsible.

thanks u guys. but invisible, there isn't a community center around me. there is a human society but i don't want 2 work there cuz if i end up really liking an animal and the next day i come back and find out it's dead i would be soooooo upset. also 2 EVERYONE!!!!! my cuz is 12 and they want 2 volunteer 2 does any1 have ideas about that?? please let me know. thanks

Humane Societies usually let kids 12 and up volunteer. Also, you could work with kids at a community center or something. Maybe your church has something.

The Red Cross accepts volunteers at 13 i think it is. And if you go to your local library they more then likely have positions there to.

I volunteered when I was fourteen. You're sixteen, and most places where I live will take volunteers sixteen and up. You have to ask around, and show people that you are responsible. Also, try to get involved with a group that does volunteer work on a regular basis. Opportunities exist out there for under-eighteen; you just have to know where to look.
