You talk as though vegetarian is an occupation. Anyhow, I like hamsters. That's it.

People live their lives as they want...some eat meat others eat plants...some hunt animals....others run around naked with them...in all seriousness...it's someone's own choice and I and no one else cares if you don't agree with that ...let people make their own descisions...don't try to press your beliefs on someone else. quote: I just like to hunt, if something goes extinct I won't be able to hunt it ever again. So I support responsible hunting. But I found some gorillas in the DRC that aren't endangered. It's illegal to hunt unless you "pay the official" for your trip. So it sounds fun.
So it doesn't phase you in the least that these animals are the last of their kind, and that you are one of the ones supporting their extinction? Don't ever speak against racism again please, you have no right to the way I see it; it would simply be hypocritical. Responsible hunting is one thing, but moral hunting is the supersedes responsible hunting-responsible hunting is a mere part of moral hunting. I'd like more information on these gorillas you claim are doing fine, such as, a name...

I think that what you two (Bushsupporter and FML) are forgetting is that we have evolved from these creatures. Posted by FML about baboons: quote: I hate them. They are so mean. They have been known to attack and eat people. You have also been known to do those things. And way to be mature by killing animals (that we must remember have brains a fraction of the size of ours) because of the self-defense that people like you have provoked. You're doing a great job proving your civilty.

Wouldn't you attack and eat things that are provoking you and/or attacking you? I don't think you're checking into gorillas. The problem is you have no morals about hunting. You're just one of those guys with a gun who thinks he can use it whenever, wherever and on whatever he wants, which takes away from hunting being known as an admirable pasttime.

I've looked into it and I don't care. I think your numbers might be fuzzy, but even if they aren't it would be a helluva time. I would probably keep its head and sell its hands. I don't see what the problem is.

I looked into it and it would be a little messed up. I couldn't find any gorilla's that aren't endangered. We can go baboon hunting though. Even if baboons are endangered, I hate them. They are so mean. They have been known to attack and eat people. quote: FML, I was thinking of going on a gorilla hunt. I hear they are the hadest animals to hunt. A friend of my dad's went a few years ago.
All right guys, that's enough. I've been in agreement for a while that hunting is a good thing, but bringing it to an endangered species? Come on! Not only is it illegal to poach, but have you no morals? There are roughly 300, [bold] 300 [/bold] mountain gorillas remaining. Why would you feel obligated to kill something so close to being extinct? And how would you use it in the end? I doubt you would eat it or utilize its corpse in any other fashion, so hunt gorilla?

You're starting to get a lesson in human nature. We're a competetive, predatorial species. And it's great.

to oregonprariedogs: The general reason that vegetarians don't eat animals is because they do not want the animals to suffer and they feel it is immoral and/or unfair to animals-who have minds and emotions-to be slaughtered for food. You're right that plants provide a lot more than animals, and other than oxygen, all that they provide is created through the food chain. Therefore, other than the air we breathe, we need animals to eat plants for almost all creatures to survive. Also, if people were to give up eating plants and animals, what the heck is there to eat to sustain us for years? Even most nutrition pills are created using plants and/or animals.

I am an avid hunter and have come to respect many animals greatly. Especially lions. We had to track a lion for nearly three weeks on safari a few years ago, it was the most rewarding kill I've made. I'll try to post the pictures of the hunt on our website for you guys to see. How come the so called vegetarians don't think about the plants of our world? They provide alot more than animals do and they are living too. I personally eat both plants and animals because I choose not to be hypocritical. Just a thought. What are your justifications towards this?
