MY COUSIN RECENTLY WAS PLACED WITH A STRAY CAT THE CAT DID NOT HAVE ANY HUMAN CONTACT THEREFORE NATURALLY THEY COULD NOT TAKE IT TO THE VET TO BE ALTERED SO IT BROUGHT FORTH IN THIS WORLD FIVE INNOCENT KITTENS BY THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE KITTEN ONE WAS BADLY INJURED ALTHOUGH I MUST ADMIT I DID NOT REALIZE IT I BECAME ATTACHED SO WHEN I FOUND OUT SHE WAS INJURED I COULD NOT LET HER GO TO THE LOCAL SHELTER WHERE HER SIBLINGS WERE HEADED. SO I PATCHED HER UP SHE IS DOING VERY WELL NOW THANK YOU SO THE OTHER WERE HEADED TO A SHELTER WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE THE OPPURTUNITY TO FIND LOVING HOMES I WAS ENTHUISED AT THE IDEA OF ALL BEING SAFE AND LOVED SO THEY WERE TO MAKE A KENNEL THERE HOME TIL THE FOLLOWING DAY THEY, BEING YOUNG AND SCARED, NATURALLY SOILED THEMSELVES AND LOOKED A MESS TO MY DISMAY I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET OVER THERE TO CLEAN THEM UP SO THEY WERE TAKEN AS THEY WEREI AM SORRY TO SAY THAT THE SHELTER THOUGHT THEY WERE SICK AND PUT THEM TO SLEEP THEY WERE NOT EVEN GIVEN BATHS OR CHECKUPS TO LOOK AT THEIR ACTUAL HEALTH THROUGH NOT BY HOW THEY LOOKED OR SMELLED I AM INFURIATED BY THIS AND HOPE PERHAPS ONE OF YOU WILL HELP CHANGE THESE METHODS THEY WERE INNOCENT AND DID NOT ASKED TO BE BORNED INTO THIS WORLD. I HOPE YOU ALL WILL HELP ME WITH TRYING TO CHANGE A FEW LAWS AFTER ALL THEY ARE EQUALS NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY IN MY OPINION

They were my cousin's cats and yes it was irresponsible for them not to clean the kittens but the kittens should've gotten an exam. They are kittens for God's sake. They haven't had the oppurtunity to live. ok look when you were a baby what if the doctor said there are too many people in the world, this one will have to die. How would you feel then.

I meant you act as those they are going extinct. And why you are aganist putting animals to sleep is kind of pointless. They die HAPPY. They get to spend their last times on Earth with food, water and shelter.
By the way, how was it possible for the kitties to be so dirty they looked sick? Did you just not take care of them and think they'd clean themselves? Usually when you bring an animal to a shelter, you make it look adoptable otherwise it won't be accepted. They are already getting so many animals a day and they want to keep the pets that look like they have the most chance. Besides, some shelters can only hold animals for less than a week. If you liked them so much why not take them to a non-killing shelter?
Don't blame the shelter, they were just doing what they thought was best. Blame yourself, you put them there in that condition.

quote: I was trying to be sarcastic, but you got the point anyway
I tend to miss sarcastic...it's actually kind of funny when I actually think they are serious. I'm so naive... quote: I do not own a pet, correct. I know I would be able to take care of one, I just don't like them. I had a cat as a child, and it was nothing more than an annoyance. And I am not one for animal cruelty. They are living, and can feel pain. I respect all forms of life.
You didn't seem like the type who would abuse animals. I think you could take care of them, it's just you know that you don't want them because they annoy you. Not a lot people know that, so it's better that you know then not knowing and regretting ever getting the animal. People use killing to solve more than one problem including out of control animals. That's the best solution people could come up with. Moon: There is an alternative, you could get people to become aware of how other people are mistreating animals. You can even form a group of people who REALLY CARE FOR ANIMALS where you live. You could save animals on your own, but just know that you can't save them all. Just like I saved my two dogs, I can't save all the mistreated dogs. I think if you save one cat or dog then that means a lot. If you keep saving, that will mean more. if you get people involved, that would mean a lot times two. I didn't suggest that the animals should be killed. I'm just saying that's how it is whenever we have a problem. I try my best to do my part in saving animals. For example: When I found a bull dog lying on the ground. He wasn't hurt but he was hungry. Or when stupid kids were poking at a kitten with a stick to the point where he started bleeding. Etc. Etc. I was even thinking about making this a career. So I know that I alone make a small difference in some animal's life.

I was trying to be sarcastic, but you got the point anyway. Brava. I do not own a pet, correct. I know I would be able to take care of one, I just don't like them. I had a cat as a child, and it was nothing more than an annoyance. And I am not one for animal cruelty. They are living, and can feel pain. I respect all forms of life. People in general know not what they do, so they take the easiest course possible, killing. This is not going to change, no matter how much you would like it to. In all other respects, I am with Apology.

quote: Damn right. There are too many humans and domestic animals in the world. Solution? Kill them.
Look, Jenos is right to some extend. There are a lot of humans who don't care or don't know how to take care of animals. So tell me what solution do people usually come with when there is a problem? They kill or dispose of the problem. NOT saying it's right, but do you actually believe that people are going to stop being lazy and take reasonability? I'm sorry, I do think we could at least change the methods of killing. The people who kill the animals, should as least clean them and give them proper feedings before they die. Also, the animals should have the least pain possible when put to sleep. Things like that to make it easier on the animal is possible so the animal could be treat well in the last days of their life. Look, Jenos, most likely, I don't know doesn't have a pet because he is just not interested in them so he knows that he isn't the best person to take care of animals. Not everyone is that smart! I take care of animals, I like it so I'm better for the animals. It's okay to not be interested, it's how you treat the animals. I hope that Jenos doesn't go kick a dog because he felt like it.

Ok excuse me 3rdey or w/e but when did i say that domestic animals could become extinct. I believe i said that in some twisted way they are trying to shrink the population by killing them off. When they should just stop breeders and run more spay and neuter clinics. if i am wrong pleez quote or tell me exactly wat i said.

The problem, I don't think are the animals. I think it's the people. A lot of people don't take care of their pets. Why have one if the person is only going to mistreat the animal to the point where the animal can't even be near humans anymore, therefore they have to be killed? Some owners just neglect their pets, therefore the pets wanders freely making babies everywhere they go. That makes more unwanted animals, more animals that people could abuse. True, a lot of people are good owners to their pets but not a lot of people realize how hard it is to take care of a living animal and they actually think that they could just throw them to the side when they become too much to handle. Yea, puppies and kittens are so cute but do you know that they pee everywhere and chew everything. You have to take the time to train them, love them, walk them, clean them, feed them, and even take them to their check-ups. I have two dogs of my own and it’s not easy. People don’t realize that, the they get one, and then they decide that they want to change their minds. Some people don’t even care at all about their pets so they abuse them constantly. When animal control comes and put that person in jail, the animals most likely die anyways because they are so messed up by the abuse. Also, what about the older animals, not a lot of people want them? I know a lot of owners who are GREAT owner sand I mean GREAT. For example: This one lady had 4 kids, a husband, and 6 dogs. Mind you, some of these dogs, she got when they were older. Mind you again, some of these dogs were abused. If she could do it and balance a life also then I think other people could do it too. It’s just going to be very hard and very time consuming. That’s why other animals besides cats and dogs are dying too from other things because people have no consideration for them. There is a solution, people have to stop being so lazy and face their responsibilities.

I believe it is right to euthanize animals. Better they die humanely in a place where they had a chance than on the street starving to death.
We should be more worried about fixing our animals than the fact that some are put to sleep.
Jenos- I agree, most people care more about saving "cute animals" than others.
Moongoddess- what are you talking about? Do you actually think that domestic animals are in danger of exstinction? ummmm... yeah and thats why its always in the news and in leaflets about how the pet population is way out of control.

In English class I have heard it called a full stop, so I know where you are coming from on. Here in the United States, it is commonly known as the period.
