I agree - both are beautiful dogs. Malamutes as well. Airedales have a wonderful personality (and brain...)

No, sad thing is that my parents want one when they retire. I say, get another husky!

I don't personally have one but family friends across the street do and toby is obviously not the brightest bulb in the kennel

Yes, pigs are smart. Very smart. But due to the fact that pigs can't really do anything other than root around and snort, people just eat them. Or keep them as pets. I'm fairly sure a pet pig would be smarter than the Shih-Tzu I have. Cute, but dumb as a rock.

just curious, how would being vegetarian solve world hunger? I feel that it's unfair to animals because no one would take care of them if they were not eaten. Would you take care of a bunch of worthless pigs if but not to eat them?

It makes the brain hurt. The same people who in any social discussion would be annoyed by someones failure to accept that people are different and that opposing values can both contain truth, are now making blanket statements about others needing to act just like them. Consistancy is a virtue.
