Not sure where else this should be. Eh.

Anyway, I was attending a lecture by artist and political activist Sue Coe yesterday at my school. She showed us slides of her artwork and spoke of their meaning and whatnot. During the second half of her lecture, she showed us drawings she made of her experiences in factory farms and slaughter houses. They were pretty graphic, and the stories she told with them were quite disgusting. Like the drawing of the female sheep being contained and flipped on their backs by some kind of machine and getting their vaginal folds cut off with shears and no anesthetic. She even showed us an actual photograph.

Her lecture really got me thinking. Objectively, of course. I know most animal rights activists are liberal. And liberals tend to be pro-choice. That revelation hit me as I ate my double cheese burger from the Sunrise Cafe, and I got mad. If the senseless slaughtering of animals should be admonished and stopped completely, why shouldn't the senseless slaughter of unborn children be admonished and stopped completely? Animals feel pain and so do fetuses.

I should mention that my school is extremely liberal and a huge chunk of the student population is vegetarian and vegan (in other words, they're gay lulz [Kidding]). And a huge chunk is also pro-choice. I'm very much tempted to call them all hypocrites. So, I'm really curious to know if the animal rights activists here are pro-choice as well.

The way I feel is this; If the killing of innocent unborn children should be acceptable, I'll keep eating innocent animals guilt-free. Booyah.

I do not speak for all liberals when I say this. I don't consider myself to be liberal. But I do value animal life over unborn human life. Call it hypocracy or coldheartedness, or what have you, but I value nature, the original creaton of God ( aside from the angels ), above a secondary afterthought called humanity.

That is really interesting. Sounds like someone hasn't thought their beliefs all the way through, eh?

It must be lovely to wake up in the morning and understand everything.

I think the one argument you are going to run into is that most that are pro-choice will say that they don't feel that a fetus is living. However the animal obviously is.
