Well, that all really depends on the situation. <BR> Should we clearcut and destroy, for no good reson, wildlife and habitat in the meantime? No.
Should we protect old growth, trees important to our enviorment? Yes.
Should protect the trees so much that overgrowth causes reoccuring wildfires? No.
On this last point (sorry, I'm bringing up a new topic), sometimes forests need to be natually, by means of fire or other method, weeded out in order to bring a limit to the massive fires we have every summer. This is not to say that we should make an effort to protect overzelous citizens of regions (who in most cases shouldn't be living in these territories in the first place) So maybe this is starting a new topic, take it where you would like, we can all increase our limited knowledge

im not really one to defend the environment, but i guess if there's alternatives to paper, we should probably try and save some trees while we're at it.
