For all of you out there who know what PETA stands for, I'm sure many of you detest their methods. I know I do. I have heard some crazy things come out of the mouths of these animal rights "crusaders." Comparing a pig to a human baby doesn't exactly count as an intelligent observation. I think it went along the lines of this: “A human is a dog is a horse is a pig.” Wow. Talk about broken English. And I hate to draw comparisons, but they act like Al Gore when he pretended to “channel” the thoughts of an unborn baby. People loved it but in the end, it was all political garbage.

Anyway, here’s a question for all you lovers and haters to ponder.

Imagine a United States where we had werewolves, yes, I said werewolves, roaming the forests and even some cities, even on nights other than the full moon. And I’m not talking about the garden-variety mass murderer type that’s peddled by Hollywood in American Werewolf in Paris, or the docile type in many romance novels, but the more subtle werewolves that are portrayed in Blood and Chocolate, the novel. They keep packs highly secret, but are more than able to kill a human being if the situation arises.

So, what if their existence became public knowledge? Whose side do you think PETA would be on? I got quite a few laughs from this question offline but in my opinion, PETA would support them over us, as long as they walked on four limbs. And I’m sure a dead human once in a while wouldn’t dampen their say that werewolves are misunderstood.

Post and let me know what you think. And to all the PETA people out there, get your act together. That stunt with a human wrapped in plastic and protrayed as a dead mass of meat wasn’t funny. For all we know, he suffocated from being in there for two hours.

News Flash: Peta kills animals. Iv'e read and researched and ill post the links and info from my sources as soon as I can.

I remember reading that their excuse was they didnt have enough room to keep the animals so what did they do....they killed them. they kill about 30 a year i belive.

I myself am vegetarian but for dietary reasons and i advice anyone else who is vegan or vegetarian to research and look into peta before jumping on their bandwagon.

PETA's methods may not be viewed as appropriate for all, but at one time they were very effective. It seems that apathy has become more commonplace today, and their message is no longer successful.

I almost forgot, and I should've caught this sooner, but if werewolves were real, I would be on their side, outside of PETA.

I enjoyed that book as well, though to be honest, I haven't read it in a while. It's been a few years I think. Still there on my bookshelf.

PETA would probably take the Werewolves' sides. Since they obiviously hate human beings. Although, Werewolves are meat eaters, they may not like that too much.

Anyway, thanks for the wonderful topic. It's about time we started talking about real issues such as Werewolves. Smile

Hell, I'd support them. This species needs a predator of some sort hunting our asses.
