Of course hurricanes can be stopped. But can it be done with our technology? Nope. Come back in a few hundred years after we've developed climate control.

The explosion needed to destroy a hurricane would most likely punch a hole in the atmosphere and vaporize a good portion of the ocean's surface. It'd probably cause far more destruction than the hurricane itself.
