You know... I think there should be a thread to adress another totally different problem. That is tree PLANTING hippies... They're wonderful people (tip really well!), until they start stalking you...

You see, it's people with attitudes like yours that continue to drive people away from your cause. Maybe if you quit being a bossy little douche, we may consider making the changes you suggest.

Ok, back to the original topic. I'm an environmentalist, but I'm not a vegetarian. Just as Ampmaster said, more trees are cut down for soy bean fields, which you use for tofu. On another note, its been scienticifally proven that plants feel pain. People have been eating meat since the beginning of time, but there's a lot of people now. We just have to use are resources in moderation. P.S. I'm more of an environment conservationalist, trying to keep and save what we have.

No. You're not going to bait me into sharing something like that. That's ridiculous. I'm sorry now I have to have proof for my feelings in addition to facts.

Oh you're so dark and edgy, ha. Come on, what's the point of having such a strong opinion if you don't try and share it, test it in the public forum.

Well if it's a "personal" belief certainly there's got to be some rationale behind it? Some reason why you believe it's right in the grand scheme of things? I didn't mean to mock you if that's the way you interpret it.

Where do you get this sense of grand justice from? Life kills life all the time, it's natural. Lions eat thier prey, antelope eat grass, hell beavers chop down trees, ha. Killing is part of nature and requires no compensation. Humans are just like any other form of life in the natural system. We want to use resources, so we take them through harvesting or killing and use them how we see fit. That's the way the world goes 'round. That, of course, does not mean we should do it wantonly or unwisely.

Shade, are you serious? Is that your "ideal" situation?

No all evironmentalists drive me crazy. Most "environmentalists" are actually conservationists, ha. At least that was true untill the word "conservation" was hijacked and meant "dam building" for a while.
