I live in Louisiana and my mother is the head volunteer of the only NO KILL Animal Shelter in Louisiana. She is 52 years old and works everyday in the heat for free for these animals. Well the local city council despite great economic growth has brought the issue of the expense of maintaining a no kill shelter, saying it would be cheaper to kill them. It has not went to a vote but living in the south I am concerned what the outcome would be. You can really help us make a difference by dropping an email to any of the city council members. There email addresses are listed below. The mayor is on our side but he only breaks a tie. You do not have to tell them your location, I would like them to think you are residents here. Thank you so much and with enough support we can really save the lives of these animals. Please Help this is very important. A lot of dogs are adopted out of this shelter. If anyone has any ideas for me to get help please let me know.
