There are children all over the world that will be in hispitals this Valentine's Day.

I'm running this project in my small Georgian town, and it involves sending cards and Valentines to sick children this Valentine's Day. Lots of kids will be in the hospital this Feb. 14, and I think it would be nice to send words of encouragement. Some children are so young that they don't know what's going on, but the parents' hearts swell at the thought of a caring stranger thinking and praying for their child. So, go ahead and start sending letters! It's so simple! I recommend you visit Make A Child Smile . Anyone and everyone can gain something from sending a piece of your heart. I hope this can bring America, and possibly the world together.

well... there are actually more than 3 kids to chose from. you can chose a child of the month, from, like, 1998!!! if you click around on the site, you'll get to it..! lol

The only thing I don't like about Make a Child Smile is that there's a very short list of children to which to write. I'd rather send cards to my local children's hospital to distribute the gifts more equally.
But I very much like the idea of sending some love to people who may not receive it as often as most of us. I did something similar for a homeless shelter on Valentine's Day along with little packs of necessities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, fruit bars, water, etc.
