Over the last three years, my old school system in Texas has undergone huge changes, some I don't particularity care for. Also, there’s huge change that is hovering above and has made its way into parts of the U.S. school system as a whole right now. I hope you all understand how evil this is. That thing is sex-education.

Yes, that’s right. Sex. The very subject your folks are supposed to educate you about. SIECUS is the one behind this change in the school. They also have a set of guidelines written up that stretch from Pre-K to 12th grade.

You think I’m kidding? You think innocent elementary school kids are safe from these loons? Keep reading.

Here’s the breakdown of the levels of sexual education, as defined in SIECUS’s PDF guidebook:

1st level – Middle Childhood – Ages 5-8
2nd level – Pre-adolescence – Ages 9-12
3rd level – Middle/Junior High – Ages 12-15
4th level – Adolescence – Ages 15-18

At level 1, for kids 5 to 8 – “Intercourse is where a man places his…” You get the idea. And this is for elementary school kids to understand? Here’s another, “Touching one’s own parts to feel good is called…” Do these people have any sense of innocence, or common sense?

At level 3, remember, these are kids 12 to 15 years old, “Many people experience s***** and e***** thoughts called ‘fantasies’”. At least they say, "Not all fantasies should be carried out."

Also at level 3, “A legal abortion is very safe.” And “When did you first realize you where heterosexual?” Now, here’s the bombshell, for me at least. At level 3, “If you have never slept with someone of the same sex, how would you know you wouldn't prefer that?” What are they thinking?

The Centers for Disease Control also has a hand in the guidelines. In fact, there’s a fun game that some teachers can let students play, students as young as forth grade. The Condom Race Activity. Here’s a breakdown. Two students take a cucumber and condom and the first to get it on and take it off wins. Then, they can brainstorm about the activity. Even get permission to experiment at home.

For the record, I read Michael Savage’s book, “The Enemy Within”, in the chapter “Condoms on Cucumbers”, and then took a look at the guidelines myself. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I hope to teach someday, and hope I don’t have to stoop to this.

I’ve said enough. If you want to make a difference, write to SIECUS and tell them to trash this horrible set of guidelines. Children do not need to know about sex when they are so young. What’s worse, I looked through that huge document and not once does it preach abstinence, if the abortion comment is any indication.

If you want to know more, read Savage’s book, or the guidelines. You can download it for free. I can guarantee you, it will make you sick if you read it hard enough.

Do you realize how early many kids first have sex? It can be as early as 10, although that's a rather extreme case. It's crucial that pre-teens realize what sex is so they at least know how to be safe about it. Abstinence, as with anything that just says "no" without any elaboration, is bound to fail when it comes to teens. Every told them not to go out after dark? Yeah.

The guidelines don't seem too bad to me. A little extreme and frivolous in some respects (why does it matter how fast you can put a condom on?), but a well-rounded sex education is better than no sex education. Or should I say "no sex" education?

Seriously, abstinence helps no one. Kids will be kids, which means they'll most likely have sex at some point. Better for them to be prepared, even if they never choose to have sex.

The more you know, the less you don't know.

Quick fact I missed in my post.

These guidelines are used around the United Sates, not just in Texas.

What in gods name has gone down in Texas? I think im going to throw up.
Maybe they should throw in a "If your mummy had had an abortion, you wouldn't exist". No scratch that, its not liberal enough Big Grin.

I remember watching a documentary about East and West germany. West germany was nice and conservative and wealthy. East germany was a crap hole. In East german schools, they pretty much taught what you just talked about. I remember seeing footage of a male teacher talking to the teenage girls about having their breasts fondled by men. My point? Society really likes going backwards.
