The UN has asked its member states to creat a position of Youth Delegae (someone between the ages of 15-24)The US does not have one and it is important that it does. I contacted my Congressman but so far I have gotten no response. I need as many people as I can get to write to their Congressman/women about why this is so important. Go to http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/unyin/youthrep.htm My name is Salah Czapary and I have been a People to People Student Ambassador, MUN Delegate, and this year I am participatingin the World Peace Programme. I offered to fill this role, but as I mentioned my Congressman has not reponded. I suggest that you write to their local address so it doesn't go through screening. Cheers, Salah

And even still, it's worth trying. Why are you here if not to try and make a difference? Congressmen are there to hear what the people they represent want. I think it is most important to contact them and tell them whatever you want to happen. The UN does not decide this the US does. See the UN has asked for it to be made, but we need to convince the US Government to do it. I think being a youth of one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world that its youth deserve a voice even if it is just one single voice.
