Hey, I also found this bracelet and pendant that help fund tsunami relief, and they're not made out of rubber! http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/32/wo/6e80009v500V0400j1/3.0.44.3.1.1.3 http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/32/wo/6e80009v500V0400j1/5.0.44.3.1.0.3 I think the bracelet (on the first link) is pretty. They also have a pin made out of clay: http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/32/wo/6e80009v500V0400j1/9.0.44.3.1.5.3 I don't really like it, but it's another option for you.
Just in case you didn't see the Democrat Bracelets post, here's the link to those bracelets: www.thinkblue2008.com

I'm glad I've helped you so much with this Big Grin

I checked the link again, and it still works for me. Go figure.
OK, try going to www.workingassets.com , click on "news and opinions", and the ad for the bracelet should be there on the right hand side of the page. See if that works for you.

Another bracelet I found online recently benefits The Humane Society of the United States: http://www.urbandecay.com/detail.cfm?PID=215&SID=1020

I have also found two car magnet ribbons that are also pro-animal if you're interested: http://www.castawayhaven.org/

That's weird, the link works just fine for me. Confused

Oh, and for those who didn't get to see Dateline last night, here's a link to their story on the Livestrong bracelets being counterfeited: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7068983/

Just so you know, the Lance Armstrong Foundation (which the Livestrong bracelets raise money for) funds animal experiments, so if you're against that, then don't buy it. They're also manufactured by Nike, which may be using sweatshops to produce them.
If you still want one, here are a couple websites where you can get it (and a bunch of other ones as well that support different causes): http://www.yellowrubber.net/ http://www.collectorsparadise.com/bracelets.html
I know of a few other bracelets you may like. Here are a couple breast cancer ones: http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/27/wo/q08000Un600vV400Q1/4.0.44.7.1.0.3 http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/27/wo/q08000Un600vV400Q1/4.0.44.7.1.3.3.12.1 A peace/hunger one: http://www.gearthatgives.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CTDStore.woa/wa/product?siteID=220&itemID=25970&origin=17500 A progressive causes one (I know you'll like this one, it supports feminism as well as other causes): www.neversurrender.org An AIDS/poverty one: https://www.rapiddonor.com/theonecampaign/ And an animal one: http://www.petcarerx.com/SaveAPetDept.asp?upi=0&ezid=558C59AW70NF8P4261MCET4E3F5WE4D7&
I have the Never Surrender bracelet and I'm planning on getting a bracelet from the Alaska Wilderness League (www.alaskawild.org) that says "Arctic keep it wild" for $5.00. I got a letter from them about it since I'm on their mailing list but you can email bracelet@alaskawild.org to get info on it and get it.
Personally, I'd rather stand out from the crowd by wearing a non-livestrong bracelet (like the never surrender one) than blend in with it. But that's just me. Smile
Oh, and if you want a "support the troops" one, be sure the money raised from it actually goes toward supporting the troops. I've heard that some convienence stores aren't too trustworthy...

Check out some local convience markets. I know that there was one convience market close to may house that sold those green SUPPORT OUR TROOPS wrist bands. They are like the LIVESTRONG ones but they are like an olive green and say SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. If there are none at any local convience markets than check out the local post office. I hope that this helps.
