I wouldn't be bad to them. I would feed them lots of big macs and pay them in dollars instead of pesos.

FML:

that's a little harsh, don't you think? I mean, starting a food chain in Mexico just so you can be bad to the workers?

Youd probably have to pay lots of money for robots just to see them go obsolete. Instead I would hire bums and drive down the cost of labor. I would only open a store in Mexico where they don't have stringent labor laws.

That's a good but impractical idea. If we have robots instead, sure, work may be faster, but there will likely be a hell lot more homeless people.

No Harvard grad will work at any fast food restaurant unless they are feeling very low.

In any case, I have never given money to the homeless, to be honest, so, I can't complain on this.

If I manager a McDonalds I would probably find some way to get around employees. There are probably robots who could do their work for them with a zero percent margin of error. Maybe those robots don't exsisit tough. In that case I would take the most qualified perosn who would work for hte lowest wage. If that is a bum, then so be it.

Harvard graduates working at McDonalds. Now THAT is making good use of your education. You're funny. Smile

Well I would preffer Harvard grads but I suspect I would probably have to settle for bums.

FML & Bush:

lol. That sounded so funny! I don't know, I've been super tired for no reason lately at hours like 3:00 pm and falling dead asleep at 8:00pm, so I don't know, maybe there's something wrong with me, but I just found that hysterical! Roll Eyes

OK, super tired (again) need sleep even though it's only...8:45. If they wouldn't start school so early, Life would be a much better place.

HeliosLoire:

Since you missed our long, never-ending fight, I'll fill you in:

1. We have come to the conclusion that not all, not even most, of the homeless would spend the money on drugs/drinking.
2. Getting a job is harder than just walking in to McDonalds and having it offered.
3. I think this thread is kind of dieing anyways, so, the argument has pretty much gone down..at least, to the point where we're being civil to one another.

Alright, buh-bi all.

Agreed. I will not give a bum money, being as I don't anyway. If they want money, they can work like everyone else- most of them blow donations on alcohol anyway.

PS: I don't believe in the "They don't know any better" BS, nor do I believe in the "There's a bias against them". Trust me, people can get work anywhere, be it in a McDonalds or at a gas station.

Federal census estimates only .87 percent of homeless adults over 25 were raised on the street, but I know it happens. It's sad because they never got a chance.

OH MY GOSH!!!

You listened to something I said! I am SO proud of you! That's so true!

Now, you need to realize is that some of the adults on the street have been brought up that way from birth too. Again, until you talk to them, you will never know and can never generalize them all.

I can't imagine. YOU, helping in a homeless center? But I thought all the homelss were "bums" who deserved to be spit on.

These families have children. They were born into being homeless. Absolutley nothing about these kids homelessness is their fault. Its hard to see.
