FML, ever think about why they don't have jobs? Maybe it's because they're homeless. People won't hire homeless people. And they can't get a home without money, and they can't get money without a job, which they can't get without a home. Besides, if you really want to make sure the money you give isn't going to drugs, take some homeless guy on the street to Starbucks or McDonald's to get a cup of coffee. Giving them money isn't the way to go, but doing nothing is even worse.

I like the 16th street mall, Denver is a nice place; if it weren't for all the bums it would be my favorite city.

Denver has alot of homeless people.they beg everyday on the overpasses and at the 16th street mall. I don't think we should give them nothing, they need some help. But they do need to get jobs.

Marx isn't the evil in PDLs post. "Class Struggle" is. PDL can beleive whatever she wants, if she wants to have faith in failed ideologies nore power to her.

Though I agree with you, I think bringing up Marx is a bad idea around FML and BS. All they will see is "Marx" and immediately lapse into the "defend America from the commies" mode.

I will help those who are willing to help themselves. How?,you might ask. Give them jobs. What a coincidence, McDonalds is giving people these job "things", so is burger king ,Wait! These job things are all over the place! If they were serving me hamburgers instead of getting drunk in an alley, or handing me towels in the washroom instead of assaulting women in the street than society will be better of.I give my guy a job. In the end, my guy has a job, dignity, warmth, food and shelter. You donate money to your local homeless cause. Your guy is a bum who has some pocket change(for booze) and a really well funded soup kitchen. Who "helped" our impoverished friend more? Which of these two would you rather be?

Also, how is not donating to shelters going to solve the problem? I can understand your reluctance to give money to those begging for money on street corners. I can see NO good in not donating to shelters.
