Attention, folks. One of the most well-known and influential animal rights organizations, The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, presents us with a back-to-school challenge: How do you teach others respect for our fellow creatures? Write a short essay (of 100 words of less) that addresses that question and enter PETA's "I've Been a Teacher for Animals" contest. You could win prizes for your efforts and get published in PETA's magazine. So if you care about our fellow earthlings and you're working on their behalf, then go for it. PETA is accepting submissions at http://www.peta.org/feat/backtoschool/ until September 6th. Take a minute and tell your story.

Actually I debated you concerning animal rights in general. I never debated with you on the subject of PETA. I do not agree with PETA nor do I support it any more. I stopped a while ago and I frankly don't have any more plans to support any more AR groups until they stop force feeding lies to support their cause. However, I do want to continue the debate animal rights. Where did the thread go after the board change?

I am vegan and became vegan due to PETA, but now I loathe PETA. A lot of stuff they do is screwed up, they don't care about their members, and they tell a lot of info that isn't true. I'm still vegan. I just refuse to support PETA.

I fixed it for you.
