I'm a senior at Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, California. As co-president of the Amnesty International club at my school, I'm currently working on an amazing project in the club in conjunction with Youth Philanthropy Worldwide. In Orissa, India, over 4,000 children work on train platforms in order to feed themselves and their families. Because they spend the day working, they often cannot attend school. In response to this problem, the Ruchika Social Service Organization of Orissa has trained teachers to go to the platforms and teach the children between train arrivals. What this awesome program could really use is a mobile toy and book library to reach all of the 40+ platform schools in Orissa. We've already raised almost $11,000 for the project, and we're desperately trying to raise the remaining $5,000 by the end of March to complete this project. We need your help. This is a call for young people who think that this project is worth investing in. If 500 NOISEmakers each raised $10 or 50 NOISEmakers each raised $100, this could really happen! We have resources to help you out with getting started. USE YN TO DONATE FUNDS TO THE RUCHIKA MOBILE LIBRARY PROJECTEMAIL YOUTH PHILANTHROPY WORLDWIDE AT info@ypworldwide.org FOR MORE INFO AND RESOURCES Thanks, and we hope to hear from you soon!!
