I like and don't like pondering this...
Why do you think there is an after-life? Is it because you were raised that way? Because you enjoy the idea of being with loved ones? Because you are afraid of the unknown? Because you fear ceasing to exist?
There is no proof of an after-life... NONE. Near death experiences are completely false because we you dream your brain waves are about 5, when you die they are less than .1 So obviously it's simply one long dream these people are experiencing, not a tunnel to the "beyond"
Why do you think the idea of an after-life was thought up? Because death is a mysterious terrifying thing... People can't stand the idea of never thinking again so with that they hope they will live again... This hope soon turns into blind faith
YOU HAVE NO IDEA IF THERE IS A GOD OR AN AFTER LIFE. I DO NOT CARE WHATEVER SUPERNATURAL, HIGHER ENTITY EXPERIENCES YOU HAVE HAD. I DO NOT CARE YOUR RELIGION OR BELIEFS. NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLETELY DIED AND COME BACK TO LIFE. SO YOU WILL NEVER EVER KNOW UNTIL YOUR CORSPE IS LYING IN THE FUNERAL HOME AND PEOPLE ARE SPEAKING OF YOU IN PAST TENSE.

People already speak of me in past tense. Esmael, he used to be a neat guy. What the hell happened? Where did he go? I don't remember Esmael, tell me about him. Who was he? I believe in an afterlife for personal reasons I don't like sharing online, but I don't want to see it. How will it be different from this hell of a life I've been given already?

Again: Why do you need proof for everything? Were you born without an imagination?
Some people are afraid of making fools of themselves by having faith in God, amongst other things. For example, some people won't have faith in other people, because they're afraid that that will lead to pain.

Plus, to add emphasis, you could always use the bold or italics.

Caps is yelling. Have you ever read a book? And yes, capitalization is what we use for the beginning a sentence. Not the whole sentence unless you're emphasizing or yelling. Do you see anyone else writing entirely in caps? You look like an ***. The fact is you don't have to have an "idea" or "proof" to believe in an after-life. That is why religion is called faith. It's actually defined as belief in something for which there is no proof.

I DONT THINK YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING... I AM MERELY SAYING THAT THERE IN NO EVIDENCE WHAT SO EVER OF AN AFTER-LIFE. HOWEVER THERE IS EVIDENCE OF ELECTRONS AND ATOMS. I JUST WONDER HOW PEOPLE WILL BE SO BLIND AS TO SAY THERE IS OR ISN'T WHEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHATSOEVER.
SINCE WHEN DO CAPS HAVE TO BE YELLING? I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY BEGAN A PROPER NAME OR A SENTENCE... WELL I GUESS THIS FJKLSAJGIOGJKLFGJKFAGJKLAJGFKLASJGKLAJG MUST MEAN SOMETHING TOO... MAYBE MISS BELLA CAN LOOK IT UP SINCE SHE IS OBVIOUSLY KNOWLEDGABLE IN THE AREA OF INTERNENT LINGO...

There's no proof of lot's of things people believe in. No one has ever seen an atom or an electron. But we believe that they are not just a detailed figment of someone's imagination because they expalain the interaction and behavior of matter and energy very well. And those are things we can observe. Personally, I certaintly do not believe in anything so contrived as heaven or hell. But if there is some further form of existance- who am I to say? But I don't believe there is one underlying truth to the universe. Reality is so strange already, nothing would surprise me.

There's a lot of things we believe or need to believe or have to believe that haven't been proved true as of yet. You can be agnostic and still think there is an after-life if you want. Why do you need proof for everything? Were you born without an imagination?

The capitals wasn't yelling... Usually when you want to make it seem like you are "yelling" you put this symbol "!" at the end of your sentence... I just felt like typing in caps.
Also I wasn't talking about reincarnation... I was talking about the people who "die" say they spend 3 days in heaven and hell and come back to life. Or the people who say "I saw the light at the end of the tunnel!"
My post was just pointing out how ridiculus it is to say "YES THERE IS AN AFTER-LIFE." or "NO THERE ISN'T"
There's another reason for using the capitals... IT MAKES READERS NO THIS IS AN IMPORTANT AND KEY POINT SENTENCE.

I think you think reincarnation is like becoming a zombie. In any case, quote: NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLETELY DIED AND COME BACK TO LIFE.

Well, that was lovely until you started yelling at me. No need for that. Calm down, my friend. Also, we already have Heaven and Hell?, and the near defunct what will happen to you after death?, and nearly every other thread here can be related back to believing in religion and its corresponding afterlife. And really, chill. Just gently press the Caps Lock to release. It'll be okay.
