quote: Because God made you and then made Jesus to die to save you
That isn't actually a answer to my question. Basically, you seem to say that God made me, then forced Jesus to die for my sins. Because of this, Jesus, who was ostensibly human, loves me. I fail to see the logic here. quote: So why don't other people get it too? Why turn away when God is so close? Because God is not close. We have no evidence that he exists; no logical argument can prove his existence, no empirical evidence reliably backs up his existence, and there are even priests who no longer believe that he exists. God is not close to many, he is distant, he is malevolent and he is fictional. quote: They don’t want to have someone controlling their life. God isn't supposed to control your life; if he does, and you don't have free will then sin, death, life, love and so on is meaningless. Without freedom, our actions are meaningless.

Because people don’t want to believe in God. They don’t want to have someone controlling their life. The question that need to be asked is what are people dismissing.

You can also use the quick reply, and highlight what you want to quote before clicking. As long as you stay on the same page, you can ex it down and it saves your comments.

Lildrummergirl, you can actually post all of those comments in one single post. I know that you are new here. But for future reference, there's such a thing as the editing icon. It is located at the top right corner of your post. It looks like a little eraser. Thanks.

A. Some are listening that is B. Mostly because I can C. It just kind of popped into my head lets talk about the rapture, so I put Jesus is coming back in hopes that someone will ask something about my commment and then we could talk about the rapture...maybe I need a new approach.......

quote: Smile....Jesus LOVES you
Why does he love me? He has no reason to love me, because I will supposedly pass on my sin to him, and continue his eternal torment of bearing everyones sins.

I highly doubt one could "talk" to the Divine.

I get personal gratification from talking to Oscar Wilde, even when he doesn't answer me back or give me a sign.

quote: I talked to God. It said that sometimes it just watches us arguing about it's existance and laughs...and honestly doesn't give a shit about what we believe...like some people in this thread and others were pointing out, we're not that important, God does not care that much about us(after all, it's God for fucks sakes, why would it care so much about what us mere humans think?). It also said that to believe in it just because we're afraid of going to hell, or because people just tell us it's so(but we don't really feel it), is worse than not believing, not to mention stupid as fuck.
Ah, I'm afraid you dialed the wrong number. :P

Because it's literally too personal to say on a message board. If you'd like to pm me, I'd be happy, if a bit reluctant, to tell you.
