If there is such a thing as salvation, it probably is luck-based. There are hundreds of religions on Earth, almost all of which claim to be the only right one. Of course, they could all be right (perhaps they're all aspects of a single all-encompassing idea, or something) or it might not even matter at all.

Who cares what the truth is anyways what does it matter either you got lucky and picked the right religion or you picked wrong and there is no way of knowing until it is too late.
