I agree with doll. There is no thing as fate. There isn't some vicious deity out there running the world and thinking, "Today, I'm going to make life hell for this person." It's all in your mind. Whether you see the good side of things or the bad is a choice you must make. Even in the worst of times, there will always be something good that you can hold onto. Life is as good as you want it to be. The irony about this is that I'm a pessimist and a cynic.
The more you know, the less you don't know.

Yeah, sometimes life sucks, but the point is to make it better for yourself. PRO-active. Sorta like reactionary said, "God helps those who help themselves." Well, life is better for those who make it better for themselves.

Disagree. I'm an optimistic person and I try to see the good in every situation, person, etc. And sometimes there isn't any good to see, no matter how hard I look. Sometimes life just sucks and there's nothing you can do about it.
