for everyone who believes in God out there, how do you know, for sure that God is for real?
this jehovah's witness guy came round today, and im like..im buddhist, but i've never been properly exposed to other religions, so yeah.. and so i let him in, and we had this deep and meaningful abt religion etc simply cuz i was curious, but he couldnt really answer my question, so i was jus wondering, if someone out there could.

You cannot prove god to be real. That's a major point of the religion, you're not supposed to know, you're supposed to have faith. Personally, as a person who follows science over religion, there is probably no god. But that doesn't mean I can't have faith or hope, which I do.

Well maybe if u opened urr self up lil more to others adn actually tried trusting God with urr whole heart u would understand how much he loves u... and how REAL HE IS...

the answer is simple:

if you believe in God, God exists. if you do not believe in God, he does not. different strokes for different folks. we were created in such a complex manner, to say one deity controls everyone is a stupid generalization.

Like I said sometimes God saids no and sometimes yes.
Sometimes God answers us right away and sometimes God wants us to wait, so that we my become closer to Him.

Sometimes I am glad that He has said no to me.
Sometime I can't understand why and I get all mad and everything and then later on down the road I say that you Lord for saying no.

A lot of people don't understand.
They say "ok God, I need some money or I need this or that" and they expect right after they ask for what they are asking for it to happen, but sometimes it doesn't work like that sometimes it takes week or years and yes sometimes it does happen right a way.
People think that only when they get into trouble they'll call on God and repent and say "ok God, if You'll hekp me out this time I'll go to church Sunday", but it does work like that. You can't tell God when or when you aren't going to do something, cause God knows every thing for End to Begining and Begining to End. He's the Alpha and Omega the Begining and the End and there is no other god before or after Him.
So, just because you pray and your prayer doesn't get answered right then and there does mean He's not listening. He saids to believe with your whole heart. Sometimes He saids no and sometimes He said to wait.
You can question God.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

i totally belive in what you mean, asking GOD to just show himself. but the Bible does in fact say, "do not test the Lord our God". sometimes i just believe they say that to make one question why you would qestion your faith, and in the end, your forced to believe, because you shouldn't ask your questions! wow, i'm confused.

You don't know that. Besides, I've felt more spirituality worshiping nature and the wolf, than I ever did worshiping God. The sound of the trees hissing in the wind or the sound of a wolf howling uplifts my spirit beyond words. Christianity just wasn't meant for me.

one day my husband (boyfriend at the time) was getting ready to make a long road trip, it was early jan. and blistering cold, snowing hard and his car heater had stopped, you could barely see out the windows it was so cold....well we went into walmart and there was those people who you see asking for donations for this or that.. well it was for a christian church/org. so i gave them a dollar bill...and they gave me a pack of candy....then i looked up and said outloud, "there God, i gave to you, now please fix our heater!" i was only joking of course, and a mile down the road we stopped at a k-mart, and my husband pulls up by the front doors so i dont have to walk in the cold....well there was a man standing in the blistering cold, for what reason i (then) couldnt imagine....my husband said to him, "sir do you know anything about cars? My heater is broken" the man said no, but took a look anyway, he quickly attached the loose heater cable and suddenly....heat.....when we went to leave we hadnt seen where the man went......

one day my usband and i went to a church that my husbands friend went to, well i sat by the wife of his friend, when they did the alter call at the end of the service, i felt so drawn to the front, but it was my first time there and i didnt want to go up....then his wife said to me, "if you guys want to go up, i will go with you....."
she told me later that while we were standing there God spoke directly to her heart telling her to ask us that......this is amazing because i hadnt known her for more than 2 hrs, we had not even had a personal conversation yet, but somehow she knew to ask if we wanted her to go too....she said she thought when god laid that on her heart "there is no way i can do that, i dont even know these people" that was what she said to us afterwards....

"How do you know if God is real?" You don't. Even all you people who think you have it figured out, you don't know. You have faith, but you don't know. That's why no one can be wrong on the whole faith thing. That's why you can be a Christian without believing much of the Bible, or a Muslim and not praying five times a day. That's why I can be unsure of which religion I belong to and take bits of Buddhism and other random religions and squish them all together, knowing that there very well may be no God out there. I know deep down that I believe in a higher power only because I need something to rely on. I don't even pray or anything. No one really knows if there is a God or not. Maybe we've all been worshipping the wrong God and we can have a YN party in Hell.
