I just saw this movie with a group of friends. They all seemed to think that her body had been taken over by demons. Uh hah. I was extremely surprised that a bunch of high school seniors from New Jersey would believe that, if the devil existed, that (s)he would spend his/her time torturing a farmer's daughter from the midwest, while the Fate of Nations lies within his power. The devil has seemingly degraded himself considerably. I hope in the future his talents will be put to more important purposes, just for the sake of pride. So was she possessed or epileptic? (and state why)
O of where dost thou hail, Celephanil, Celephanil? Why dost thou wander in Tengelwar great, why on the sea do you sail?

Find this online. From all I have read, I think her parents were just religous nut jobs and she was only epileptic.

again, why would he care about sme child from the Midwest when president Bush is a very rosy target indeed. My theory. I love theories, and i love evangelical theories most of all. Here it is: The devil, if all those bananas exist, is not a rouge, but under the auspices of god. He goes around stirring up trouble in his name, and tests people to see if they are really worthy of heaven.

You know, you can't make a real decision because all we saw was the priest and Laura Linney's character. We rarely saw the real in-depth research of the prosecution because they were supposed to be the "enemy." If I had to make a real decision, I'd go with the proposed psycho-epileptic seizure thing they described. I think when you're as involved in religion as Emily Rose was, you'd be more inclined to believe in possession rather than seizures. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. The only thing I didn't like was that they disproved her stigmata by saying she gripped barbed wire. Barbed wire wouldn't leave a mark akin to a small stab. It would tear the skin crossways. Other than that, this girl was not possessed. Just ****ing crazy.
