Got to agree with Shade there: Why should it matter what "colour" he was?? People trying to make a big fuss about something that in reailty to everyday life means very little.

Um, of course he looked like an arab. Let's think about where he was born. Hmm... Besides, does the colour outside change what the man is inside?

Jesus was cablasian . . . Caucasian, Black and Asian. It doesn't matter what race he was it doesn't change what he did, what he means to people, or even what he stands for. I think we as people focus to much on this because honestly I could care less how his race was presented in the Passion as long as the message stayed true.

It does not really matter, to me a skin colour is nothing more than a coat of paint, it is not an attitude, nor defines a person. If you want to get into it, it was most likely Jesus was dark skinned, like olive skinned, like that of an arab man... There is a guess of what he would of looked like by a scientisty man!! So really, he was neither white nor black, he was arab!

This kind of question could end up with black people making a statemtnt that they deserve a closer relationship because he was of the same skin colour.
If jesus did exist, and you're following the scriptures, for whats written there it would presume he certainly couldnt be pasty white; living in a hot country and all. But if it made no note about skin colour of Jesus in the bible than surely those who believe in him and the bible shouldnt care about his skin colour, or skin colour in general.

No. It's an interesting question, but it shouldn't matter in a religious sense. Unless you're in the KKK. Heh, how ironic.

DOES IT MATTER?!
The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.

quote: Therfore, making him African. Most africans have black, or darker skin.
Uh you fail check were israel past and present are/was and get back to us I mean really! Israel wasn't even on the same freakin continent! quote: perhaps he had children?
scripture said he was pure in all ways the precludes sexual relations with a woman and therefore rules out a royal bloodline

He was presuambly, from Israel. Therfore, making him African. Most africans have black, or darker skin. This raises more questions, things me and my aunt have searched for. Jesus, perhaps he had children? Of course it wasn't mentioned in the scriptures, but they didn't say he had none.

Why does it matter what color his skin was? Just wondering.

he was jewish but that's a religion dear children. Genetically he was likely Semitic, so dark skin, eyes and hair. I've also seen evidence towards him being Aremaic which would mean he could have blue eyes as I recall...

I'm pretty sure jesus was a Jew, therefore he likely had curly hair and darker skin. I wouldn't say he's black, more tanned. Scripture also says he was ugly.
