Question:
What do you do to get rid of stress? I used to bang out my frustrations by playing the piano. I also journal and draw. Quigong and yoga are great too!

Choices:
I do something constructive
I do something destructive
I don't really care... I just wait for it to go away
I sleep it off
Scream!!!!

I make a poem up. I never get around to writing though, and deeming it of being unworthy of ink and paper. Or, I read. If i am stressed in the winter I eat like crazy, during the summer I eat less.( not so there is a disorder though.)Oh, and the way my body deals with stress is simply by shaking uncontrolably.

I've never thrown anything breakable for the same reason. I'm too lazy to clean it up. I usually just throw a pillow when I do choose to throw something, but when I throw my shoes I throw them into my closet so my walls don't get marked up. The back wall in my closet has black marks all over it. Smile

I asked my mom what she used to do when she was younger and she got mad. She said she'd find anything that would break when it hit that wall. Now that would be cool. lol I just never wanted to clean up a mess, so I never threw anything that would break.

I do that when I'm really pissed off at my parents, and I can't get a hold of my best friend to vent to. Then I feel really stupid and immature for doing it. It's great.

To get rid of stress, I usually lock myself in my room and listen to my music. I get so into the music that I end up care-free!

I usually go on a run. Just going outside, especially during sunset, and forgetting everything else is a great way to relieve all the pressures of life. It's a time when it's just you and God. The bonus is that anyone can do it, and it also gives you great heath benefits! Smile

I usually just get rid of what's stressing me out. Seeing as this is usually a task, it isn't hard to think things out. If I'm at work, and things are just piling up or something, I like to scream.

I go write songs, or play a really hard song on the violin. It takes my mind off of things. Morgan

Rip a piece of paper, scream in my pillow, talk to my buddies or take a deep breath. I sometimes let it slide and just let the stress take over. I even (it's when I am really stressed out) throw my shoe across the room ... or a pillow. I know I shouldn't do that, but it's better to take it out on an object than a person.

I also bake ... tons and tons of cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, bread, or some odd german dish. You'll get fat at my house... Big Grin

I don't really do anything about it. I guess I just sit and think about it, which usually ends up making me even more stressed out and frustrated than I was before. Sometimes I draw, but when I look at what I've drawn, I usually get discouraged and, as before, end up more frustrated.
