I'm an athiest, so I don't believe in God. I would have to say he is a phony. And I know I'm going to offend people by saying my version of the bible, so if you want to hear it, contact me outside of the forum. But anyways, there are many reasons why I don't believe in God, and never will. As for why other gods from other cultures are supposedly "mythological", it's because majority rules on these matters, and majority says there's only one God. Personally, I think the Romans and the Greeks have a better concept than we do.

I do believe tht if there is really a god tht those three gods are all the same 1 and i always hav....howevr if they're all the same thn why hav a lot of the major events in history and so many wars been strtd ovr religion (and dont fool urself all wars, when you look at the 1st evnt or attack of the war, hav been based on religion and beliefs) with the exception of the many civil wars in history.

An even better example is the 1 tht occurred just 4 yrs ago right here in America.....we were attacked by Bin Laden b/c they thot tht the way we lived our lives was "inappropriate" (for lack of a better word). Because we didnt act the way they do religiously
and b/c we were free to do, say, and think wut we wnt.

So if they are all the same god (and if he or she exists then they most certainly are) why do evryones religious beliefs cause us to hav such conflicts..

besides i can gaurantee tht you (wutevr ur religion is) believe tht it is the rite 1 just as evryone else believes theirs is

Whose God is real? The Christian God? The Muslim God? The Jewish God? Needless to say, those three are all one and the same. But I get what you're saying, anyway.

First off, I think that the old Greek and Roman gods (who, again, were the same, i.e. Roman Jupiter=Greek Zeus, etc.) were just different aspects of one all-encompassing God, who may or may not be the God of the Christians or anything like that. He (or perhaps She) is everything, not just a specific God of one religion or another. So I suppose the God of Christianity would liken to Zeus/Jupiter mostly, but His warlike side would look like Ares/Mars, His knowledgeable side would look like Athena, and so on. But that's just what I think.

It made sense for the Greeks and Romans to be polytheistic. It's what they knew. Modern man has moved toward monotheism. Perhaps in a few thousand years, humans will have figured something else out and we won't even have the concept of a single God, or something like that.
